Craftin’ Round the World Challenge scene

Hello everyone – I created this card for the Craftin’ Round the World Challenge scene that is based on the sketch for this month.

When I saw this pattern paper from Not2Shabby I knew it would be perfect for the background. I took some liberty with the 2 papers in the background of the sketch and felt the prairie would be the bottom layer and the mountains the top layer. What do you think? Have you ever thought of using paper in this way?

To make the flowers on the left side of the sketch I pulled out some watercolor paper and some dies I had. I cut out the image then used ink and a paint brush to add the colors so I could get some depth. I love how the flowers and leaves have a variety of color adding interest to the image. Using colors not in the pattern paper draws interest to the die cuts

This group has some great challenges. I love trying some of the different ones. This one uses a Tic Tac Toe theme to make a masculine card. This card uses another sketch challenge for a cute card with a fox.
