Watercolor Beautiful Day

Hello Everyone ~ I have a fun Watercolor Beautiful Day card for you.

Well we are headed to Disney today.  We have a 9 hour ride ahead of us and that is with no stops.  I am sure we will take a break at lunch and again at dinner to give the girls a chance to burn off some energy.  It has been a fun time planning this and I am sure we will have a great time.  I did get the autograph books completed.  I modified my idea and decided to leave the white piece for the signature and will add the picture of the girl with the character using a stick on pocket.  I will make sure to share pictures of the completed pictures when I finish the books after we get home.

Today I have another faux watercolor idea.  I began with a piece of watercolor paper.  Using the stamping platform I added my image in the lower left hand corner of the watercolor paper on the plate.  Then using my Merry Merlot marker I colored the outline of the flower.  I then used the Mossy Meadow marker to color the leaf.  I stamped the image onto the watercolor paper.  You may have to stamp it a few times to get enough ink onto the watercolor paper.  Removing the watercolor paper the aqua painter was used to blend the ink down into the petal coloring each petal.  I repeated the procedure for the leaf.  Set the paper aside to dry.  To get the sharp image back, put the watercolor paper back in the stamping platform and add ink to the stamp using the markers.  Stamp the image again to get good crisp lines.  If necessary you can ink and stamp the image again.  Allow the paper to dry before completing the card.  Take a strip of the Silver metallic edge ribbon and attach it to the top of the watercolor paper using Tear & Tape.  Add Tear & Tape to the back of the watercolor paper and then add it to the Merry Merlot card base.  Tie a bow using the ribbon and add it to the strip of ribbon using a glue dot.  To finish off the card add some Adhesive Backed sequins.  Remember to use odd numbers as it is pleasing to the eye.  Here is my completed Watercolor Beautiful Day creation.
