Technostamper – Wetlands

Happy Monday Ladies!

Well I spent yesterday in my craft room working on my February and March Paper Pumpkin.  I completed one sample of each item they show you.  Then I do some thinking out of the box and completed alternative ideas.  I had shared the 2 page scrapbook page on Friday so I worked on a Project Life page as well as some alternative projects for the February kit.  Then I tackled the March kit and I finished all my projects for it which included a 2 page scrapbook page and a Project Life page.  I plan on finishing up the few other projects for the February Kit then I have 2 kits that I have completely finished.  Yah!!!!!!!!!!

I spent some time on Saturday making treats for Zoie’s class.  They are having a St. Patrick’s Day party and Jess had to bring candy.  She bought regular candy but had hoped to find some St. Patrick’s Day candy.  I suggested I make shamrocks that hold hershey kisses.  I ended up making 36 of them so the teachers at the center could get one also.  Here is a picture of some of the completed ones.

I did take some time last night to do some coloring for the Coloring Challenge.  It is Day 13.

I have been wanting to do some coloring on vellum so I took advantage of the coloring challenge and did that technique for my coloring for today.  Here is what I created.

Ok on to my card for today.  Monday is the sketch challenge at Mary Jo’s blog – Technostamper.  Each week Mary Jo creates a new sketch for us to play with.  Here is this week’s sketch.

I need a card for a workshop this weekend.  I decided to use this sketch for the card.  The hostess has requested a card using the goose in the Wetlands set.   I had created a card quite a while ago using the color combination of Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar.  I decided to use those colors for my card.  I needed to keep my card simple as I think many of the ladies will be new stamping.  After I stamped the image I used my sponge daubers to add some color to the goose’s belly and the grass.  Here is the card I came up with.

We would love to have you join us and play along with our sketch challenge.  Head on over to Mary Jo’s blog – Technostamper to check out all the great cards.  Then grab your supplies and play along with us.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I think Jess and I are going to the outlets today as she need to get some summer clothes for the girls.  Have a Marvelous Monday!

  1. How fun for Zoie's classmates to have the hand made shamrocks with the Hershey kisses….and am sure the Teacher(s) will appreciate them too! Your butterfly is wonderful! Love Mary Jo's sketch and really love your interpretation of it. Love that stamp set! Hope you are getting sunshine soon – Spring is supposed to spring forth on Friday – hope it does for all of you on the East Coast!

  2. Those shamrocks are so fun, bet it took you a while to make all those, I made 20 once and it felt like forever, of course I do not like to make anything more than once so it was a bit frustrating to begin with for that reason. I love your card for my sketch too. Perfect for a class, great card for any gender too. Thanks so much for another wonderful card for my sketch challenge this week!
