The Paper Plunge – School Days

Happy Friday Ladies!

I have several ladies coming today to make some Halloween cards.  A few of them love Halloween like I do  I have a special treat for them today also.  I will share it with you tomorrow.

Today is The Paper Plunge challenge.  Our challenge this week is all about school.  Most areas have started back and the kids are settling in to learn.  To support our teachers, lets use the primary colors on our card.  That meant we are to use red, yellow, and blue.  When I think of school I think of stars also.  I decided to use my framelits and make some stars.  I had them laying on my white card base and they just did not pop.  So I thought about using a piece of black.  I cut my black and then decided to add some speckles to mimic a blackboard.  I then added my stars and realized it it needed some sparkle so I punched out some stars from Silver Glimmer paper.  I had it sitting on the white card base and I still did not like it.  It needed a layer of red to make it pop.  Here is what my final creation looked like.

So do you remember learning your colors in School?   What else do you remember?  What card would you create using red, yellow, and blue?  Grab your supplies and make a card and play along with us at The Paper Plunge!  We would love to see what you create!

Thanks for visiting me today.  What do your plans include for this holiday weekend?  I will be working with a friend for a card class we signed up for.  We are going to start it and play with some new items.  Have a Fabulous Friday!
