Friends

Good Morning Everyone ~ I am so lucky and grateful to have some wonderful friends!

I have so much to do before we leave on Wednesday evening!  I have my cards for all my posts made through a few days after I get back.  I just need to write the posts and schedule them.  I will work on that as well as cut my paper for my Bags & Tags class when I get back.  I will be busy the next few days!

The next challenge at A Card a Day Challenge Blog was a color challenge.

Tuesday Color Challenge:

I loved the colors as well as the picture.  I wasn’t certain what I was going to do with the colors even though I loved them.  I went the route of using some framelits and other supplies to create my card.  Using the Flourish framelits and Night of Navy card stock I cut out the edge piece.  Cucumber Crush card stock was used to cut out the leaf spray.  Next I used the Flower Fair framelits to cut out the larger flower from Marina Mist and cut the smaller flower from Crushed Curry.  The last element is the butterfly cut from Bermuda Bay card stock using the Sunshine Wishes framelits.  All framelits were attached to the card base using a dot of Tombow Multipurpose liquid glue to the back in various spots.  Set aside to dry.  Take a scrap of Whisper White card stock and using the Sentiment in Garden in Bloom stamp with Night of Navy.  Cut the card stock down to size and use a sponge dauber to ink the edges.   Using a piece of Whisper White card stock that measures 4” x 5 ¼”, take the leaf spray and attach it.  Attach the border over the leaf spray along the bottom of the card stock and cut down to size if necessary.  Attach the larger flower to the top of the leaf spray.  Apply the smaller flower in the center of the larger flower.  The butterfly is attached to the card stock in the upper left hand corner and the sentiment in the upper right hand corner.  The card layer is attached to the card base with dimensionals.  Here is the completed card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be finishing up Michaela’s album today since I have all my cards made.  I have a few more pages to do but they go quickly.  Then I will embellish and do my journaling.  Have a Marvelous Monday and make sure you let your friends know how much you appreciate them!
