Reason for the Season

Hello Everyone ~ As time ticks off it will soon be the Reason for the Season!

I have been playing with my preorder and some new to me items.  I will be sharing them later this month.

The Card a Day Challenge had a Christmas challenge last week.

Mistletoe Monday:
Anything goes…just make a Christmas card
I needed to make a Christmas card for the challenge.  I began with the stamp set Reason for the Season.  I took a piece of vellum and stamped the poinsettia using Versamark ink.  I then applied Basic Black embossing powder and heat set it.   Using Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Garden Green markers I colored on the back of the vellum to color in the center, petals, and leaves of the poinsettia.  Using a panel of white card stock and the vellum round the corners with the corner rounder punch.  Fold the vellum over the top of the white and  stick down the back flap using tear-n-tape.  Apply a bit of adhesive to the back of the poinsettia and stick the front of the vellum to the white.  Use tear-n-tape to attach the panel to a Cherry Cobbler card base that is a top fold.  Wrap  a piece of gold 1/8” ribbon around the top of the card and tie in a bow.  Stamp the sentiment with Encore Gold pigment ink and emboss with gold embossing powder.  Your card is now ready to be mailed.  Here is my creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Not sure I will get into my craft room today.  With the girls back it will be very busy here!  Have a Sensational Sunday and I hope you enjoyed my first Reason for the Season!
