Make My Monday

Good Morning Stampers ~ are you ready for a Make My Monday creation?

Well I managed to work in my craft room again yesterday.  I made my cards for my upcoming Learn Something New class this month as well as another card.  I was finished all cards by 2:00.  That was good as then I could watch the race.  I had Zoie yesterday and every time I turned around she wanted something to eat.  I guess she was making up for not eating much last week when she was sick.  I am glad she is well enough to go back to school today!

Our challenge this time at Make My Monday is

                                                     Colours of the Rainbow
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet.
Use only 3 of the colours

I had to do some thinking about what I wanted to do with this one.  I recently got the Special Reason bundle.  I decided I wanted to do a modified Rock-n-Roll technique.  Knowing that I chose to use Red, Yellow, and Green.

I began by inking up my flower with the Crushed Curry.  Using a sponge dauber I added some Cherry Cobbler to the edges of the flower and then stamped it onto Whisper White card stock.  Before I cut everything out, I stamped the leaves using Garden Green ink .  All flowers and leaves were cut out.  Then using the open dies I cut  2 of the flowers from Cherry Cobbler card stock.  Dots of Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue were add to the backs of the open cut flowers.  These were set aside to dry a little.  I then used the Softly Falling embossing folder to emboss the front of my Crushed Curry card stock.  The open dies were added to the card front. Glue Dots were used to add the leaves to my flowers.  The flowers were then added to the card front using dimensionals.  Here is my finished creation.
