I have made many cards for others as gifts. With all the cards I make I have never made a mongorammed card for myself. One of the blogs I read had a challenge to make a monogram card and I thought it would be a good time to make one for myself.
For this card I used the sketch from Eat Sleep Stamp blog. I have enjoyed doing Tracy’s sketches. I paired it with the color challenge from the Colour Create blog. The challenge was to use Blush Pink, Lilac, and Mossy Green. I chose to use Stampin Up’s Pretty in Pink, Lovely Lilac, and Mellow Moss. I also used the challenge from Stampin’ B’s Design Team blog which was to include a monogram on your card. I love Mellow Moss and pink so I thought this would be a good time to make a have monogram card for myself.
When I began I had no trouble using the Moss and Pink. I wondered how I could get the Lilac incorporated. I remembered I had some Flowers for You designer series paper left and it uses the Lilac and Pink. I pulled it out and chose this cute polka dot patterned paper. I then used the Boho Blossoms and Flowers Trio punches to make my flowers. To create the moss ring around my oval, I cut out a smaller oval and used it as a mask then sponged the moss around the edge of the oval. Here is the sketch and my creation.
