Caardvark Colour Create Window Card

Can you believe it is July? Where has the first half of the year gone?

Today’s card uses the color challenge from the Colour Create blog. You were to use Pistachio Green, Aqua, and Powder Pink. I could match the Pistachio with Certainly Celery and the Powder Pink with Pretty in Pink but I did not like the match of Aqua and Tempting Turquoise. So I decided to go looking through my pads to see what I might have that I could use. I found a Prety Pastel set from Tsukineko that had Pixie Pink, Sea Breeze, and Aloe Vera. I liked these colors but did not have any paper to match them. I decided to create my own paper. I used the pads to apply ink directly to the paper so that I created my own paper.

After I had my paper I used the Flower Cuttlebug dies to cut out flowers and the Sizzlits Little Leaves die to cut out leaves. After I had my flowers they looked so plain so I pulled out my stardust pens and punch to punch a center and add lines. I added buttons to the 2 large flowers as there was a bonus to add buttons also. I then just had to put my layout together. I decided to use Basic Black as my background so the colors would pop.
The Caardvarks blog has a challenge to create a window card. I thought it would nice to put a window in the bottom corner and have a sentiment peeking through. I used my 1″ circle punch and then stamped my sentiment in the window. I then off stamped the leaves over top of the sentiment. I had some extra flowers I had cut out so I added them to the inside to decorate it a little. Here is my creation.
