Some new toys

Happy Friday Everyone!

Are you ready for Easter?  I do not have to do anything as Jess, Chris, and Zoie are going to his parents.  It is his birthday so they are going to combine both celebrations.  It will a very relaxing day for me.

My card today is for the butterfly challenge at Butterfly Challenge blog.  This time you had to add a charm.

I had a hair appointment on Monday.  After I finished I met a girlfriend for lunch and we did some shopping.  One of the stores we went in was AC Moore.  While I was in there I looked in the beading section and found a great charm to add to my card.

I recently go some stencils and dies from Memory Box.  One of them I got was a stencil titled Butterfly Vine.  It was perfect for this card.  Here is what I created.

I taped my card base down and then taped the stencil down.  I then sponged on my ink.  I did the green first then cleaned my stencil so I did not muddy my purple.  After I dried the stencil I retaped it down and added my purple.

I also got a butterfly die which I cut and added to the front.  To add my charm, there was a hole through the middle that I thread my ribbon through.  I then just taped the ribbon to the back of my card.

If you like butterflies you should see some of the gorgeous creations at the Butterfly Challenge blog.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Tomorrow I will be sharing one of the cards we made at the Karen Burniston workshop.  Have a Fabulous Friday!
