Product Focus Hop

Hello Ladies ~ We have a short Product Focus Hop for you today.

Well the show was great!  Jess and I went up early and went to dinner and then we saw the show.  It was a great evening for the 2 of us.  Today I spent my day in my craft room.  I got my Suite Envy Class for next week completed as well as my Scrapbook Class.  It was a productive day.  Now I need to work on my 10 Minute Creation videos and my collage class and I will then only need to make cards for my blog and can have classes and my blog straight for when I go visit my friend.

Today we have our Product Focus Hop.  This week we are using the Dragonfly Dreams bundle.  This is one of my favorite bundles in the Occasions Catalog and I was so thrilled that it carried over to the Annual Catalog.

There is a new papercrafting craze that is all over Facebook.  Is it Memory Dex.  You use the cards from a Rolodex to create a little piece of art.  There are dies to cut the paper with the holes in the bottom.  I do not have the dies but I knew what size the paper should be.  I cut my paper using some of the lovely specialty paper in the Affectionately Yours dsp.  The corners were rounded to mimic the Rolodex card.  The pieces for the dragonfly were cut and using Tombow multipurpose glue I glued them together.  Island Indigo, Soft Sky, and Pear Pizzazz markers were used to color the dragonfly in.  Using the clear Wink of Stella I added some to the sections of the wings to make them sparkle.  I set this aside as I needed to add a vine to the card.  Using the Swirly Scribbles framelits and some Wild Wasabi card stock I cut out my vine.  This was attached to the card using some Tombow glue.  The dragonfly was added next using the Tombow glue.  My sentiment was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black and added to the card using dimensionals.  Here is my completed Memory Dex card.

I knew this size would be perfect for a card front.  Using a card base of Island Indigo, I embossed the front using the Softy Falling embossing folder.  I took some tear & tape and added some Bronze thread to the back of the card.  Dimensionals were attached to the back of the Memory Dex card and it was attached to the card base.  Here is my completed creation.

Now it is time to hop on to the next blog to see what was created by the next artist.  Your next stop is
Jenilee’s blog – Artisans Anonymous.  Make sure you let her know how much you enjoyed her creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  Jess is going to pick up the girls today so I will be home alone!  I will be making my 10 Minute Creation videos for the next few weeks!  Have a Great Day and remember we do a Product Focus Hop every Thursday!
