Pillow Box Gift Card Holder

Happy Friday Everyone ~

I don’t know about you but I am glad the weekend is here.  I have had a lot of issues with the house this past week and it has been stressful.  I did not go anywhere yesterday and just took the day slow and easy.  Today I am meeting the blinds guy at the house and then I have a meeting with the fireplace guy.  I am hoping both of these meetings go well.  There is still one issue I am dealing with the builder.  My garage door is 1 foot smaller than the normal size.  Hope this is not going to cause a problem.  We will see.  They have started putting the siding on.  Several people asked for some pictures.  Here is one Barb took for me.  I will take more tomorrow while I am at the lot.

Today is the last day of our 12 Days of Valentine’s.  We hope you have enjoyed all our card and gift ideas.  We had a lot of fun making them to share with you.  Today Costa has a gift card holder idea.  She created a pillow box that is the perfect size for a gift card.  The box is made out of the Grapefruit Grove foil sheets.  That paper is so pretty!  She uses a piece of the Garden Impressions dsp to back the sentiment layer.  The sentiment comes from the Abstract Impressions stamp set.  The Layering Ovals were used to cut out the sentiment and backing layer.  The cut pillow box is tied up with some Gold Metallic edge ribbon.  Here is Costa’s Pillow Box Gift Card Holder.

Here is a picture of it opened so you can see how it works.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope we have inspired you these past 2 weeks.  I hope you were able to catch my Facebook Live last night.  We had a lot of fun playing with glycerin!  Have a Fabulous Friday and if you try the Pillow Box Gift Card Holder make sure you share it with me as I’s love to see your take on the idea.

Love You Homemade Valentine

Hello Stampers ~ are you ready for a Love You Homemade Valentine idea?

Well I spent a lot of time on the road to vendors yesterday.  I took care of the granite people and then headed to the flooring for tile in the bathroom.  After I finished there I stopped at Lowe’s to do a little research on my Ventless Fireplace.  After Lowe’s I went to the house to get some measurements for the walk in shower and around the tub.  I then headed to the Fireplace store to do some more research about the fireplace.  After that I went back to the Flooring store as I had some measurements and we had to make some changes.  I then did some grocery shopping and wetn home.  I had to make my samples for my Facebook Live tonight.  We are playing with glycerine.  You don’t want to miss this so head on over to the Facebook Group ~ Creations in Paper ~ at 7:30 pm tonight to see the live broadcast.

I was checking out Facebook last night and Jess posted this.  This is my grandaughter’s conversation with her mother.  I swear this girl is such a trip!

Mom: it’s called an ice cream sandwich
Remi: what?! It doesn’t have lettuce or cheese!!

I am still laughing about this.  Remi comes up with some of the funniest statements.

This is the last Valentine card from me for our 12 Days of Valentines.  For the last one I choose one of the patterns from the All My Love designer series paper I had not used.  I mounted it onto a Lovely Lipstick card base.  Using some Lovely Lipstick card stock I cut the heart out using the Sunshine Wishes thinlits.  I glued this on the right hand corner just a little below center.  I stamped the sentiment from Detailed With Love using Lovely Lipstick onto Whisper White card stock.  I used my favorite retired banner punch to flag the ends of the sentiment.  This was mounted using dimensionals.  The Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ grosgrain ribbon was used to make a multi loop bow.  This was attached using glue dots.  To finish off the card, rhinestones were added.  Here is the completed Love You Homemade Valentine.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I do not have any errands to run today so I can play all day.  I am so excited!  Have a Great Day and will you be making a Love You Homemade Valentine?

Valentine Cupcake Holder

Hello Everyone ~ wait until you see this cute Valentine Cupcake Holder Costa created!

I had another card class yesterday.  I had 10 ladies who signed up.  We had a great time and the ladies made 4 cards.  There were a lot of laughs and everyone willingly helped each other out.  They are looking forward to the next one which will be in February.  Since I had one class at 10:30 and one at 2:00 I did not do anything major yesterday.  Today I am meeting with the flooring people to pick out tile for around my bathtub.  Then I need to meet the fireplace people to see about changing the fireplace, the granite people to let them know about my water faucet so they know what size hole to drill, and check out the bathroom towel racks.  After that I need to come back and make my card for my Facebook Live tomorrow night.  Make sure you are in my Facebook Group ~ Creations in Paper ~ so you don’t miss it.  We will be coloring with glycerin.

Today is Costa’s turn to share a Valentine project.  She has a fun cupcake holder.  She created the holder using the Wood Crate framelits.  She used the Wood Textures designer series paper for it also.  The cute heart was made by accordion folding a piece of the Lovely Lipstick foils sheets, rounding the ends, and then joining it in the middle with some Tear & Tape.  Isn’t this an adorable idea?  Who wouldn’t love getting this gift on Valentine’s Day!

Thanks for visiting me today and we hope we have inspired you.  I am hoping my errands today don’t take too long as I have a lot to get done.  Hopefully they will go smoothly.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and will you be making a Valentine Cupcake Holder for someone special?

How About A Cute Handmade Valentine Card

Hello Everyone ~ how about a cute handmade Valentine card idea today?

Well I met the builder at the house yesterday to talk about the showers.  We also talked about the window that needs to be replaced and the fireplace.  I had to go to the Bath store and Fireplace showroom to make some decisions.  The Bath store went fine.  The Fireplace was not a good visit.  I have an unvented fireplace so I do not have glass doors.  The only way I can get glass doors is to remove the fireplace that is there and put in the only one they have that is unvented with doors.  I had the mesh curtains that are on the fireplace not to mention the dust and dirt the fireplace will collect without doors on the front.  I am not sure which way to go.  I looked at fireplace screens but that is not the look I was going for.  I have gone over the budget on so many areas and I still have no idea how much I am going to owe for the recessed lights I have put in.  Having a hard time with this decision.  Today I have a class in the morning and afternoon in the subdivison. I am using the Pavilion until my house gets finished.  It will be a fun day as I share my love for papercrafting with some new ladies.

Today is my turn to share another Valentine.  This is day 8 so if you have not seen the other cards we have created, check out my previous posts. For today’s card I began with a Flirty Flamingo card base.  I used the Detailed Trip punch to round the corners of the card base.  I cut a Basic Black layer and rounded the corners on the right hand side.  I then cut a Whisper White layer and rounded the corners of it also.  Using the heart from the Sunshine Wishes thinlits, cut out a heart from the lower right hand corner of the Whisper White layer.  Add a piece of the All My Best designer series paper to the back of the Whisper White layer to cover the hole.  Attach your Whisper White layer to the Basic Black layer.  Add a strip of the same designer series paper to the left hand edge of the Whisper White layer.  Tie some Whisper White baker’s twin down the same side and tie a bow at the top.  Attach these layers to the card base.  Using the Sunshine Wishes thinlits and some Flirty Flamingo card stock, cut out a heart.  Add Glue to the back of the cut out and inlay it into the opening on the Whisper White layer.  Take the stamp from the Accented Blooms stamp set and using your Flirty Flamingo marker, ink up just the words you want to use.  Stamp it onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock.  Use the Classic Label punch to punch it out.  Add this punch to a scrap of Flirty Flamingo card stock.  Use your snips to trim around it to get a larger shape like the one the sentiment is on.  Add this sentiment to your card base using dimensionals.  So what do you think about the completed How About a Cute Handmade Valentine Card creation?

Adorable Hershey Kiss Flower

Hello Everyone ~ Costa has an Adorable Hershey Kiss Flower idea for you today.

I hope those of you that got snow yesterday enjoyed seeing it fall.  I have to admit that is one thing I miss in North Carolina.  I love watching ti fall and seeing the white trees.  I have been enjoying the pictures on Facebook my friends have posted so at least I get to see the pretty trees.  Yesterday the play we saw ~ You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown ~ was very good.  The actors and actresses were fairly young so they made the characters seem real.  We went to lunch first and despite the rain it was a great outing!  Today I am headed to the house to meet the builder and the plumber.  I have some questions about the walk in shower so we need to get that straight.  I also have a conference call at 12 and then I need to go to pick out my garage door and stop by the granite place so I can check on my sinks.  Then I have to stop by Wal-mart and get some Hershey kisses and a few other things I need for my class tomorrow.  After that I have to prepare my kits and pack them up for the class on Tuesday.  We are making Birthday cards this month.

Costa has a great project for you today.  She created a fun little Hershey Kiss flower.  She used the Garden Impressions designer series paper and doing some folding and tucking she created this cute little blossom that holds a Hershey Kiss.  Who wouldn’t love to receive one of these!

I will be trying some of these so I have them to give out.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope we have inspired you.  What do you think of our 12 Days of Valentine’s?  Are you enjoying our shares?  There have been some great ideas for you.  Have a Marvelous Monday and I can’t wait to make one of these Adorable Hershey Kiss Flower creations.
