Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic

Good Morning Everyone ~ I have some fun bright colors in my Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic card today.

I had a great day yesterday!  I spent a fair amount of time at the yarn shop.  It felt so good to knit and not have to race off to do anything.  I am going to have to make an appointment at the Apple Store as my computer is saying it is almost full of storage.  I have gone in and deleted files as much as I can.  I cannot find the files they say I have.  It is very frustrating so I guess I am just going to have to see if they can help me.  It is an hour away so not a trip I like to make.  Oh well I will see if I can get an appointment in a couple of weeks.

It is my Fast & Fabulous Friday video day.  I thought it would be fun to play with some of the new In Colors for my card today.  Have you joined my In Color club?  It will only be available to join for a few more days.  Check it out here.  Make sure you sign up before it is too late.  For my card today I used Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, and Pineapple punch for a fun tropical card.

Here is a photo of the card so you can see all the elements.

Stampin’ Up A Little Wild

Hello Stampers ~ wait until you see my adorable Stampin’ Up A Little Wild creation today!

Well yesterday was much more calmer than the day before.  I am glad as I needed a break from all the craziness.  I had a photographer come to the house to take pictures for the listing.  Then Bijou had a spa appointment.  When I got back from her appointment I went into my craft room as I needed to make today’s card and my video for tomorrow.  I got them completed and had some time to relax a little.  Today I am going to the yarn shop and do not have any plans after that.  I may try to organize my craft supplies a little so I can move the things I won’t use very often upstairs to a closet.  I will also probably play in my craft room.

Today I wanted to play with some of the Animal Expedition designer series paper.  This is one paper you should try before you buy by purchasing one of my Mixed Bag‘s for it.  This is beautiful paper and not what you would expect.  I do not have the stamp set that is part of the suite but will be ordering it.  I could see this paper used with other stamp sets so keep your eye out for those cards.  I began by choosing this adorable bird paper.  I wanted to use the cute elephant in A Little Wild so I stamped it and colored it.  I went searching for a cute sentiment as this will be sent to one of the girls.  Colorful Seasons had a perfect one so I stamped it in Blueberry Bushel.  I mounted this on a piece of the 2018 – 2020 In Color designer series paper in the Blueberry Bushel striped.  My card base is Blueberry Bushel and I mounted the piece of Animal Expedition onto the front.  The stamped image layer was added to the In Color designer series paper and then added to the card front using dimensionals.  To finish off my card, I added a silver heart enamel shape and some glitter enamel dots.  Here is my completed creation.

Stampin’ Up Colorful Seasons Flower Branch

Good Morning Everyone ~ ready for a Stampin’ Up Colorful Seasons Flower Branch card today?

Yesterday morning the girls slept later than they normally do.  I guess all the pool time over the weekend wore them out.  They were both pretty tired last night and Zoie came and asked me if it was bedtime yet ~ she never does that.  Remi went to sleep almost immediately which never happens either.  I have to admit I went to bed early also.  Being on watch for both girls at the pool wore me out also.  They both went to day care so at least I had some quiet time and could do a few things.

Our challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a sketch challenge.

I am not sure if I followed the sketch per se but it did give me the inspiration for my card.  I started with the 4 circles across the bottom.  I wanted to do something a little different so I opted to use the Colorful Seasons branch along with the flowers.  I stamped the branch very lightly so I knew where to stamp my flower images.  I had the one going up the page to represent the rectangles behind the circles (see I said I did not follow it exactly).  After my branches were stamped I then stamped the flowers for the branches and used the coordinating framelit to cut them out.  The flowers were added using glue dots or dimensionals.  I could not decide which ribbon to use so I used both and tied a small bow which was added with glue dots.  Here is my completed Stampin’ Up Colorful Seasons Flower Branch.

Check out the other design team members creations at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  There are some very talented ladies on the team and I am sure you will see a variety of interpretations of the sketch.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I will be gone all day today and then I have the girls tonight til Jess gets home.  Love them dearly but I am ready to have my peace and quiet back!  Have a Terrific Tuesday and do you think my Stampin’ Up Colorful Seasons Flower Branch has a Japanese feel?

Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper

Happy Monday Everyone ~ Are you ready to see the new Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper from Stampin” Up?

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I took the girls to the pool again yesterday.  They had a fun time and came home exhausted.  Good for me as they went to bed early last night.  I wasn’t far behind them as I was pretty tired myself.  Little ones can wear you out!  I felt like all I did was fix food and drink for them.  They are at day care today and I have a hair appointment.  Then I need to work on some cards for my blog as I have not been able to do anything for a few days.  Jess comes home tomorrow so I will pick them up from day care and take them to their house and wait for Jess to get there.

I got some more of the new designer series paper recently.  I decided to play with the Twinkle, Twinkle paper this time.  This paper is fabulous!  It is so versatile.  My Mixed Bag would be perfect to get for this paper and check it out to decide if this is one you have to have a whole package of.  Click the link above to see the details of this offering.  For my card I chose to use the Night of Navy night sky pattern.  I cut a piece and mounted it onto Night of Navy card stock.  To add some sparkle cause you know I like my bling, I cut 2 stripes of Silver Glimmer paper and used Tear & Tape to adhere them to the back of the night sky patterned paper layers.  I wanted to add another element so I chose the striped pattern and punched it out with the 2 1/4″ circle punch.  I used a retired 2 1/2″ circle punch and punched out a piece of Night of Navy card stock.  The patterned paper was mounted onto the Night of Navy.  I took my Whisper White layer that was cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and set my night sky layers on the card where I want it.  This allowed me to add my striped layer at just the right spot.  After I had it glued down, I added Snail to back of my Night Sky layer and attached it over the top.  I took this panel and adhered it to my Night of Navy panel that was cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″.  These panels were then attached to my Whisper White card base.  To finish off my creation I needed a sentiment.  I wanted to see if I had one about stars but no luck.  The closest I could get from the stamp sets I had was “You Light Up My Life”.  I stamped it using Night of Navy and flagged the ends.  The sentiment was added to the card base using dimensionals.  Here is my completed creation.
