Dragonfly Dreams from Stampin’ Up

Good Morning Everyone ~ My One Color Wonder uses the Dragonfly Dreams from Stampin’ Up.

I have been very busy this week.  I got my washer and dryer on Monday, my heat pump serviced on Tuesday, and today I have an appointment and Bijou has a spa day.  I am getting ready for a trip to North Carolina to visit my friend.  There is a lot to do when I go for a week as that means I have to have all my cards created and posts written.  Wish me luck!

Do you love ribbon? I love all kinds. Check out my Creations of the Month to see ways to use this beautiful ribbon.

My One Color Wonder card today uses the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set with So Saffron ink.  When I got the set and color I knew I wanted to use the bees from the set.  Here is the video showing how I made my card.

Wasn’t that card so cute?  Here is a photo of the card and the inside so you can get a better look at it.

Window Box Thinlits Makes a Cute Valentine Box

Hello Everyone ~ I played with an idea yesterday and created a Window Box Thinlits Makes a Cute Valentine Box.

My washer and dryer came yesterday.  They were a little late so I was worried there would be an issue.  I did get a phone call saying they left later than they thought but they were on their way.  I heard the truck pull into the development and watched.  Where my house is situated it is easy to miss it.  I called them back and explained where I was and they found me.  It took them about 1/2 hour to install both.  After they left I did a quick load to make sure I knew how to operate it.  It is so nice not to have to pack up my laundry and find some place to do it!  I also spent more time organizing my craft room and even made today’s project and my Facebook Live card for tomorrow.  Today I am having my heat pumps serviced then back to my room to do some more organizing and to reward myself by making a few videos!  Such a busy bee lately!

Our challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments this time is an inspiration challenge.

When I saw this I saw all the hearts.  I am not a heart person so this was a challenge for me.  I only have 1 stamp set with one heart.  So I thought what about my framelits/thinlits.  I checked them out and while doing that I realized I could use the Window Box thinlits and make a Valentine Box.  When it was completed it was so cute that now I will need to make a second one to put a little treat for the girls in it.  I began by cutting the box out with Berry Burst.  Then I used one of the cut outs to cut the heart design out of the side panels.  A piece of Whisper White card stock was used to back the cut out.  Now my box was ready to put together.  To decorate the top of my box I used the Lovely Words thinlits to cut out a white heart.  Since it only cuts out the inside of the heart and the word, I used my snips to cut off the word and cut out the heart frame.  Dots of glue were added to the back and the frame was set aside for the glue to set.  To add some more decoration, I used the Berry Burst ombre paper from Color Theory dsp.  I first cut out the strip of hearts from the Window Box thinlits and then I used the Lovely Words thinlits to cut out the word.  I used the lightest part of the dsp for some contrast.  I took the word and cut it off the frame and cut the “ly” off the word.  Dots of glue were then added to the back of the word and it was set aside for the glue to set.  I added the heart frame to the top of the box.  The small hearts were added using glue dots.  To finish off the top, the word was added.  Here is the Window Box Thinlits Makes a Cute Valentine’s Box project.

Petal Passion Hello

Good Morning Everyone ~ I played with the black and white paper again for my Petal Passion Hello card.

Today is the day!  They are delivering my washer and dryer today!  I have been without a washer and dryer for 3 weeks.  I am so glad I did not have to plan another trip to Jess’ to do my laundry.  I have so much to do this week and did not have time to plan a trip to do laundry.  Now I can organize and clean and create this week so I can leave for my trip without any stress.

I played some more with the Petal Passion designer series paper.  I am so liking this paper.  If you like my card today, make sure you check out my class here.  You will love the cards in the class.  For my creation today I started with a strip of the leaf paper.  Since it had leaves, I decided to mount onto a piece of Wild Wasabi.  I used one of the leaf embellishments from the Petal Passion embellishments and threaded it onto a piece of the organza ribbon.  This was then attached to the upper part of the leaf panel.  A panel of Whisper White was added to my Wild Wasabi card base.  The leaf panel was then attached using dimensionals.  Wisteria Wonder was used to create the Decorative Ribbon Border.  The sentiment from Thoughtful Banners was stamped and embossed in white onto the Basic Black card stock.  The end was then flagged and the banner was added to the card base using dimensionals and glue dots.  To finish off the card, the Decorative Ribbon Border was added using glue dots.  Here is my Petal Passion Hello card.

Jar of Love Meets Whole Lot of Lovely

Hello Stampers ~ Are you ready for my Jar of Love Meets Whole Lot of Lovely card today?

Well it got cold again yesterday.  Mother Nature can be so cruel.  We had adjusted to the warmer weather and then she pulls the plug again.  I think it will be warmer again next week!  I hope so as this is just too cold!  I am babysitting for the girls today as Jess is going to Virginia to help her friend out and do an interview for her.  They were so funny the other day when I was there.  They insisted on showing me their new room.  I got a great call yesterday.  Lowe’s called to say my washer and dryer were in.  They are delivering it tomorrow!!!!!!  I am so excited as now I can do my laundry whenever I want.  You can bet I will be using it after they leave!

Are you enjoying my 10 Minute Creation series?  I have another one today.  I really like the colors on this one.  It would also be easy to do using any stamp set that has flower sprays and any designer series paper.  Here is the video of the Jar of Love Meets Whole Lot of Lovely.

Want to see the card up close and personal?  Here it is.

Party Pandas from Stampin’ Up

Hello Ladies ~ I played with my Sale-abration items and created this Party Pandas from Stampin’ Up card.

I was super productive yesterday.  I managed to make 3 videos and did quite a bit of organizing.  I am slowly getting things straight!  Still have a lot to do but a little at a time and I will get there.  I was glad to get the 3 videos made.  I still have quite a few to make this week coming.  I have a workshop today and hope to at least get one made after that.  Since it is supposed to rain most of the day it won’t be hard to play in my room!

I wanted to make some cards for the girls.  I just recently got my Sale-abration items from my order.  I ordered the Party Pandas so I could make cards for the girls.  I thought it would be fun to do some inlaid snowflakes with Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper behind.  I cut my panel for the card front and then place my snowflakes along the side.  I cut them out and then mounted a strip of the glimmer paper behind the openings.  The thinlits were used again to cut out some snowflakes from Pool Party card stock.  Dots of liquid glue were added to the back  and then the snowflake was added to the cut out on the card panel.  This panel was then mounted onto a Pool Party card base.  Next I took the panda that had the balloon in his hand and masked off the balloon and string.  He was then inked up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.  I cut it down and mounted it onto a piece of Basic Black card stock.  Dimensionals were added to the back and then the panel was added to the card base.  To finish it off the little panda needed  a snowball in his hand so I punched a 1/2″ circle from Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.  This was added to his hand with a glue dot.  Here is my completed Party Pandas from Stampin’ Up card.
