Beautiful Day from Stampin’ Up in Blushing Bride

Good Morning Stampers ~ my Beautiful Day from Stampin’ Up in Blushing Bride took a different turn in my video.

Well I managed to do some knitting yesterday.  I completed one more round.  I have 15 completed and I need 19.  I am getting there.  I was nice to sit and knit for a change.  I also ran a bunch of errands.  I had to get insurance so I can get my tags.  I met with the lady today and we are set up for the policy to start the day my other one ends.  I also had to go to the grocery store.  Picked up a few things then came back here and had lunch.  After lunch Bijou and I took a drive to check out one groomer.  I have made an appointment for Friday morning so we will see how it goes.  I hope it works out.  They do things so differently here.  They usually keep the dogs for 3 hours.  They are going to do the entire grooming instead of doing half of it and putting her in a cage and then doing the other half an hour later.  Bijou is use to the entire process in one sitting so I am hoping they will do it that way.  3 hours is too long as she is nervous anyway.   We will see how it works out.

Today is the One Color Wonder day.  This week I had Beautiful Day and Blushing Bride.  I started with an idea but the color scheme I had did not work so I reversed the colors.  Here is the video to show how I made the Beautiful Day from Stampin’ Up in Blushing Bride.

Here is the photo of the completed card.

Beautiful Bouquet from Stampin’ Up Note

Good Morning Everyone ~ how about a Beautiful Bouquet from Stampin’ Up Note creation to share today.

Well I managed to get my videos for this week made yesterday.  I also did a planning call with a demo I am going to work with on the 12 Weeks of Christmas.  We have talked about it and the tutorials will start late next week.  These tutorials are exclusive to my newsletter subscribers.  The only way you can get them is if you are signed up to receive my newsletters.  If you are not signed up for my newsletter, use the form on the right to subscribe.  You don’t want to miss these tutorials.  Here are some photos of just a few of tutorials that were in my newsletters last year.

I have an appointment this morning to get my car insurance straight.  I was scheduled to do this before the hurricane hit.  This is the first chance the agent has to meet with me.  They have been very busy with claims.  I am curious to see how my policy will change.  After that I am going to take Bijou to a groomer to see if they are a good match for her.  I want a simple trim, wash and dry, and trim her nails.  All the ones around here do a lot more and I don’t want that.  I also have to find someone who will trim her the way I want.  Most groomers are not familiar with Papillons and do a lot of trimming around the face and ears.  I want to make sure that does not happen.  After I find a groomer for her I have to find a hair dresser for me.  That will be a real challenge!

Today is the next challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments .   This time we have a color challenge.

These colors were a real challenge for me.  I wasn’t certain how I was going to use them.  I knew I could use Flirty Flamingo and Gorgeous Grape for flowers.  I wasn’t sure how to work in the Night of Navy.  I decided to use a layout I saw on another demonstrators card that I liked.  I used the 2 1/4″ circle punch and Night of Navy card stock to punch out my circle.  The Subtle embossing folder was used to add just a bit of texture.  The Beautiful Bouquet stamp set was used to create my flowers and then the Bouquet Bunch framelits were used to cut them out.  I wanted to add some sparkle so I used the leaf punch and Silver Foil paper to punch out a bunch of leaves.  The sentiment was from Postcard Pals and the Classic Label punch was used to cut it out.  Now it was time to assemble my card.  The card base was Night of Navy card stock and a piece of the Wood Textures designer series paper was added on top.  The Night of Navy embossed circle was added to the card base a little higher than center.  Next I placed my flowers in the upper left corner and lower right corner of the circle.  The silver leaves were added strategically among the flowers.  The sentiment was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To finish off my creation, I added rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.  Here is my hand crafted Beautiful Bouquet from Stampin’ Up Note creation.

Label Me Pretty Birthday from Stampin’ Up

Happy Monday Stampers ~ A pretty Coastal Cabana Label Me Pretty Birthday from Stampin’ Up creation for today.

I am so excited!  My friend Bard and her husband Doug came over and Doug rigged up a system for my lights.  I love it and now I have lots of light so I know my videos will be fine.  After they left I spent a lot of time playing in my craft room yesterday.  The day before I had made a bunch of panels using the Buffalo Check background stamp and I also played with the painter’s tape technique.  I had done the painter’s tape technique in my Facebook Live on Thursday and the ideas just kept coming to me.  I will be sharing those at a later time.  Needless to say I did not do any knitting.  Today I need to make some videos for this week so I will be working on that.  I know I will have some extra time so I will be knitting a little after that.  I still have a few rounds left before the scarf is finished.  Then I will need to block it.  I will make sure I take pictures of it when it is done.  It is taking a lot longer than I thought as there are so many beads on it.  There are over 2,000 beads which is why it is taking longer than I thought it would.

I am always looking for great birthday cards.  Since the Label Me Pretty stamp set is up next on my second round of the Catalog Journey I decided to use the birthday sentiment for my creation today.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The Coastal Cabana marker was used to color in the larger flowers.  I then used the Soft Sea Foam marker to color in the leaves.  The Stitched Shapes framelits were used to cut out the completed image.  The clear Wink of Stella pen was used to add some highlight to the flowers.  I wanted to have a decorative oval to put the image inside so I pulled out the Delightfully Detailed laser cut specialty paper.  They had the perfect panel I could use.  I cut it out, went over it with the Wink of Stella pen to add some sparkle, and mounted it onto a Coastal Cabana card base.  The image was ten added in the center using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Label Me Pretty Birthday from Stampin’ Up creation.

Quick and Easy Tropical Chic

Happy Sunday Everyone ~ are you ready for a Quick and Easy Tropical Chic creation today?

It is Sunday and I hope you have some fun plans for today.  I spent some time yesterday in my craft room.  I played with some color crystals and the Buffalo Check background stamp again.  I will be using those and some other ideas to make cards today.  I also want to take some time and do some knitting.  I haven’t done any in a while and I would love to get my sister’s scarf finished.  I then want to work on some other projects I have.  This week I will be getting together with Barb for several things.  We are planning a few lunches, maybe a movie or two, and we will be working on some Halloween projects that we will send out.  We have a lot of plans so I hope we get to all of them.

Sunday means it is my 10 Minute Creation video series.  I played with the Tropical Escape Suite.  I used the stamp set and matching framelits and the designer series paper on my card today.  I also pulled in the Delicate Lace edgelits to add some interest.  Here is the video showing how I crafted my Quick and Easy Tropical Chic creation.

Want to see the card up close?  Here is the photo of the creation.

Stampin’ Up supplies used for my creation

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I was excited as I went to put my new cover on my ottoman.  Well when I pulled it out and went to put it on, it was a lot bigger than my ottoman.  I was bummed so I pulled the one off and decided to wash it and see if it will clean up.  It cleaned up some but not enough.  I tried to find one that will fit my ottoman but I could not find one that would fit.  So I guess I will be looking for someone to make me a new one or alter the one I have.  I am bummed!  Have a Sensational Sunday and what do you think of my Quick and Easy Tropical Chic creation?

Accented Blooms Smell the Flowers

It’s the Weekend Ladies ~ how about an Accented Blooms Smell the Flowers creation for you today?

What plans do you have for the weekend?  I will be making some videos and studying for my North Carolina Driver’s Test.  I have to get my license soon as I only have a month or two to get it once you move here.  The office is closed due to the storm so I am hoping it will be open next week.  Wish me luck as I have a bunch of signs to study as I may only have to take that test.  There is also a written test and I won’t know if I have to take that one until I get to the DMV.  I will let you know the progress on this next phase.

The next stamp set on the second round of my Catalog Journey was the This Little Piggy.  When I looked at this stamp all I could think of was “Smell the Flowers”.  I decided to pair the set with the flowers in the Accented Blooms stamp set.  I inked up the flowers and wiped the ink off of the sentiment shape as much as I could.  I colored in all the flowers using my markers.  Post-it notes were used to mask off the flowers at the bottom using the lines for the sentiment shape as a guide.  I stamped one of the pigs from the This Little Piggy stamp set where the sentiment would normally be in the flower image.  I then colored the pig.  I then extended the flowers on the left hand side and finished coloring them in.  I did not have the sentiment I wanted to use so I used the Make a Difference stamp set to create the sentiment I wanted.  After I had it printed, I flagged both ends.  A piece of Gorgeous Grape was cut a little larger and the sentiment was mounted to it.  The ends of this was also flagged.  To assemble my card, I took a Grapefruit Grove card base and embossed the front using the Polka Dot Basics embossing folder.  The colored image layer was added to a Calypso Coral layer and then added to the card front using dimensionals.  The sentiment layer was added strategically  using dimensionals over the lower part of the flower image to hide the missing flower parts.  Here is the completed Accented Blooms Smell the Flowers creation.
