Stampin’ Up Key Chain Idea

Good Morning Stampers ~ I have a fun Stampin’ Up key chain idea that was one of my pillow gifts.

Well I did not get as much done as I had hoped yesterday.  I spent some time working on the Sudden Response database and in the afternoon I took a long nap.  I needed it as I am still recuperating from the trip.  I have a to take Bijou to the vet this morning to get her the travel medicine she takes.  I then have to work on making at least one video and my project for my Facebook Live this evening.  I will be busy as I also need to work on the Sudden Response database.  I have it down to 55 people that we need to add.  I will continue to work at it and get it down.  We need to add lots of demos to this group as there are several people who have lost everything in the fires in California.  We will help them get their business back up and running when they are ready.

My share today is another one of my pillow gifts.  I saw this idea and knew I had to make it for one of pillow gifts.  I purchased beads in their favorite colors – or as close as I could.  Then I got some frosted shrink plastic.  I punched out the shape and stamped the image on it using Basic Black archival ink.  Then when it was dry I flipped it over and colored the back with alcohol markers.  The 1/8″ hole punch was used to punch the hole.  The image was then baked in the oven.  Now I was ready to put the key chain together.  I added one of the retired Eastern Palace mini tassels that is in the clearance rack.  I created a bead strip, added a purchased pearl and my shrink plastic image.  Here is my completed Stampin’ Up Key Chain Idea.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  Don’t forget to join me in the Facebook Group ~ Creations In Paper ~ for my Facebook Live tonight at 7:30.  I may play with one of the new sets that will be available when the Occasions Catalog goes live in January.  Have a Great Day and what is your favorite color for the Stampin’ Up Key Chain Idea?

Label Me Pretty You’re The Best

Good Morning Stampers ~ a quick and easy Label Me Pretty You’re The Best card is up today.

Well I managed to do my class.  The 6 ladies had a great time.  They all said they would love to come back.  I am planning on doing a birthday card class in January.  I will be at the Pavilion again as my house will not be finished.  That is fine as long as I don’t forget anything like I did today.  Today I will be cleaning my bathroom as I did not get it done yesterday.  I will also be making some videos for next week since I will be at Jess’ next week.  Zoie has a program on Monday so I will go to that.  It will be good to get some snuggles from the girls.  I am also planning on getting together with a few ladies to share my OnStage experience.  It will be a low key week.

I have a simple stamping card for you today.  This card is suitable for a beginning stamper.  Here is the video showing how I created my Label Me Pretty You’re The Best creation.

Want to see the card up close?  Here is the photo so you can check it out.

Handmade Note and Calendar for OnStage 2018

Hello Everyone ~ ready for the Handmade Note and Calendar for OnStage 2018 pillow gift?

Well I got a decent night’s sleep but I still need more so it will be early to bed again tonight.  I managed to get my workshop for today prepped and my videos for this week recorded yesterday.  This morning I will pack things up and head over to the Pavilion to set up.  After I am finished I need to go to the grocery store as I need a few things to get me through the week until I leave for Jess’ on Saturday.  Then I need to clean the bathrooms.  It will be another busy day.  I will get to bed early again so I can catch up on my sleep and boost my immune system so I am prepared for the girls.

Today I am going to share one of my pillow gifts I made for my friends at OnStage.  One of the gifts I made them was a Notepad and Calendar.  I began by using everyone’s favorite color.  This one uses Mango Medley.  I cut the paper and folded so that I can add the pen on the outside.  The loop to hold the pen is made of paper and is part of the holder.  I used the Delicate Lace edgelits and cut it out in Basic Black.  Magnets are used to hold the notepad closed.  I added the magnets using glue dots.  I then attached the edgelit to the inside of the front flap to cover the magnets.  The other magnet was added to the inside left cover.  The homemade calendar was attached to cover the magnets.  A lined notepad was added to the other side of the inside.  To finish off the cover I cut 3 letters out of Basic Black and glued them together.  I added a layer of Crystal Effects on top and let it dry.  I then attached the letter to the lower left hand corner of the notepad.  Here is my completed Handmade Note and Calendar for OnStage 2018.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  The weather has finally turned chilly here also.  I will have to take extra clothes this weekend to make sure I am warm.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and who would you make the Handmade Note and Calendar for OnStage 2018 for?

Stampin’ Up Love What You Do with Pick a Pattern Washi Tape

Hello Everyone ~ another swap I did was the Stampin’ Up Love What You Do with Pick a Pattern Washi Tape card.

Well I got home yesterday afternoon and I was exhausted.  I took a nap after I did a few things as I just could not keep my eyes open.  After that I unpacked and did some laundry.  Even with the nap I went to bed early so I could try and catch up on some sleep.

OnStage was very busy and I made lots of new friends as well as caught up with longtime friends.  Here are some photos of all the friends I saw at the event.

This is my friend Amanda                                                                                                 These are a few of the Global Design Team ladies.

I needed another general swap idea.  I had planned on taking about 75 general swaps with me along with the 2 organized swaps I was doing.  I thought it would be fun to use some washi tape on the card as I wanted to show others how to use it in a different way.  I had the Pick a Pattern washi tape and it is black and white so all I needed to do was to pair it with a color.  I love Bermuda Bay with black so that is what I decided to do.  I took the flower image  and stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Whisper White.  Then using the small fill in image I inked it up with Bermuda Bay ink and stamped it in the center of the flower.  Then without reinking I stamped it again on the right side of the flower.  And finally without reinking I stamped it again on the left side of the flower.  This gives you a flower with 3 shades of the same color.  This is a great way to add depth and interest to your image.  I repeated the same procedure with the other 2 flowers on the stamped image.  Then using the ink I stamped my sentiment from the same Love What You Do set.  I wrapped some of the Basic Black baker’s twine around the bottom of the card and then attached this panel to my 4′ x 5 1/4″ panel.  I took the washi tape and added a strip on each corner of the panel at the top.  This panel could easily be added to a Basic Black card base for a complete card.  Here is my completed Stampin’ Up Love What You Do with Pick a Pattern Washi Tape card swap idea.

Stenciling Touches of Texture from Stampin’ Up

Happy Veteran’s Day!

Good Morning Ladies ~ I played with my stencils for my Stenciling Touches of Texture from Stampin’ Up creation today.

I am ready to be home for a while.  I feel like I have been on the go forever.  Unfortunately I will only be home for a week as this weekend I am headed to Jess’.  Zoie has a program on Monday the 19th so I am going up there for the program and Thanksgiving.  Sometime this week I need to get to the vets so I can get some medicine for Bijou since she does not travel well.  I am hoping they will give me the medicine so we have a quiet trip back to Maryland.  I can’t believe how much traveling I have done in November!  It will be good to be home for December for a while.

I have my 10 Minute Creation video today.  I played with my stencils for this one.  It had been a while since I had played with them so I pulled them out for my card today.  Here is my Stenciling Touches of Texture from Stampin’ Up video.

Wasn’t that a great idea?  I need to play with my stencils more.  Here is the photo so you can see all the details.
