Color Theory Designer Series Paper Meets Flower Shop

Hello Stampers ~ today Color Theory Designer Series Paper Meets Flower Shop for my creation

Well it was a long trip down yesterday.  I had to drop Bijou off at the dog sitter’s before I left.  I am sure she will be fine but with all the upheaval in the house right now she is a little unsure of any situation other than when she is at home.  She has her crate so hopefully that will help with the security a little.  I also included a t-shirt I wore so my scent will be there and help her to feel secure.  I am sure we will go through something similar when we move.  If you have any hints, please share them with me.

My Fast & Fabulous card today turned out so cute!  I used a watercolor wash background but you can’t see too much of it.  I think my one piece of paper is just a little too big.  It does peek out a little so there are small glimpses of it.  Here is my Color Theory Designer Series Paper Meets Flower Shop creation video.

Want to see the card a little bit better?  Check out my creation below so you can see the ways I combined the designer series paper with the rest of the elements of the card.

Whole Lot of Lovely Watercolor Wings

Hello Ladies ~ I used another designer series paper that I have not played with much in my Whole Lot of Lovely Watercolor Wings creation.

Well I am leaving today for my trip to New Bern.  I am excited about it as I really need a break.  I finally finished everything up the other day.  I had some bins to put in the closet and clean up my craft room but I was able to get it all done.  Now all I have to do is keep it organized so I don’t have to scramble when someone wants to see the house.  When I get the phone call I have to go around and turn on the lights (not sure why since my house is so bright any way) and grab Bijou.  We have to be gone for about an hour so I will be visiting my sister and Jess.  There are soccer fields across from my house so I can go over there.  It will be interesting.

Today I have a fun card.  I began with a piece of the Whole Lot of Lovely designer series paper.  This panel was added to my Whisper White card base.  I then took another piece of Whisper White and cut a small panel for the front of my card.    Next I took a piece of Pool Party card stock that was 1″ wide and scored it at 1/4″, 1/2″, and 3/4″.  This was attached to the bottom of the small panel using Tear & Tape.  A strip of the Pool Party glitter ribbon was added to the top of the scored piece.  This panel was added to the center of the card front using dimensionals.  To make my butterfly, I took the colors from the dsp.  I used Crushed Curry that was off stamped for the solid image.  Then I used Dapper Denim for the outline and off stamped it before stamping it to the outside of the butterfly.  Using the center stamp for the butterfly I inked it with Pool Party and stamped it on the butterfly.  The body was stamped using Soft Suede.  The coordinating framelits were used to cut out the butterfly and it was then added to the small panel using dimensionals.  To finish off the card the Tutti-Frutti sequins were added for some interest.  Here is the completed Whole Lot of Lovely Watercolor Wings creation.

Stampin’ Up You’ve Got This

Good Morning Ladies ~ today my One Color Wonder is this Stampin’ Up You’ve Got This card.

Well today is my last day to get everything done I need to get completed before I leave tomorrow.  I have some donations to make, some deliveries to make, and to clean and organize my craft room so if the house is shown while I am gone it will be all set up.  I also have to finish my posts for my blog so that they are scheduled also.  I am sure something else will come up that I can’t think of right now but I have a list so I will work on crossing it off.  The only problem I can see is if someone wants to see the house.  That will throw a monkey wrench into the whole situation.  Oh well I will deal with it!

Today is my One Color Wonder video.  Last week I chose You’ve Got This and Berry Burst.  I love the flower image in this set.  Here is how I used it for my Stampin’ Up You’ve Got This creation.

Naturally Eclectic Hello

Good Morning Stampers ~ here is my Naturally Eclectic Hello creation.

Today is a crazy day.  I still have a lot of tasks to get completed so I will be working on them today.  I have a lady coming today to do some more cleaning and I will be going to a couple of businesses to pick up light bulbs and check on a few other things that I need to get done.  When I get back from that I will be working in my craft room as that is the only room that still needs to be organized.  It won’t take much time but I do want to get it completed.  After that I am hoping to work on a few videos also.  I have been working on the posts I can and writing them and scheduling them.  If I do a few at a time I can get it done before I leave.

One of the patterns in the Naturally Eclectic  designer series paper is the one with the gems all over it.  I really struggled with this paper as I could not figure out what to do with it.  I saw a layout that I decided to try.  I cut a piece of the gem paper and Emerald Envy card stock.  I mounted the 2.  I wanted to add some ribbon so I used the 1/8″ Silver ribbon and wrapped it around and tied my bow.  I wanted to add some sparkle as the gems reminded me of sparkle so I used some Silver Glimmer paper and the decorative ribbon border punch to punch out 2 strips.  I attached the punched border to the back of the dsp layer using glue dots.  This panel was added to my Soft Sky card base using Tear & Tape.  For my sentiment I used the Pop of Paradise and stamped it in Night of Navy.  I used the 1 1/4″ circle punch to punch it out and used a 1 3/8″ circle of Soft Sky to mount the sentiment onto.  The sentiment layers were added to the card base using dimensionals.  Here is my Naturally Eclectic Hello creation.

Celebrate You Meets Awesomely Artistic

Hello Ladies ~ I played with the Sale-a-bration thinlits that are carrying over for my Celebrate You Meets Awesomely Artistic card today.

Well I will be making some more donations today and a few deliveries.  Then I am hoping to make a few videos as I have been able to get all my cards made that I needed but two.  I will get them made.  I need to make 5 videos so I can work on those a few at a time.  Then I will have all my posts completed before I leave.  As long as I remember to schedule the post I should be fine.  I have in the past forgot to do that.  Thank heavens my sister checks my blog early and lets me know when it is not up.

I was inspired by a card I saw online that used the Celebrate You thinlits.  I used different colors and a different image to make by card.  I used some of the green glimmer paper from the Myths & Magic suite to cut out my sentiment.  I added dots of glue and set it aside while I worked on the elements of my card.  I used the dragonfly from Awesomely Artistic and a Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz marker to color it.  I usually try to use a blue and green as they are the colors of the dragonflies we have around here.  I stamped the image and cut it out.  To assemble my card I used a Whisper White card base.  The sentiment was attached on the left hand side and centered top to bottom.  I then took a piece of the mini silver sequin trim and using glue dots I  looped it around on the right hand side next to the sentiment.  The dragonfly was added using a dimensional.  To finish it off I added some sequins.  Here is my Celebrate You Meets Awesomely Artistic creation.
