15 Years ~ Hard to Believe

Hello Everyone ~ are you curious what my post 15 Years ~ Hard to Believe is all about?

Yesterday I cleaned my blinds and dust mopped my floors.  Then I spent some time in my studio.  I managed to make my cards for next week.  I like having all my cards for the week made so I can plan out my week.  This gives me time to schedule some appointments if I need to.  I am excited as I have a friend I have not seen for over 6 months coming to visit me on Monday.  She has not seen my house even though we only live about 15 minutes from each other.  It will be fun to catch up with her.

Today I am going to finish my Fall inside decorating and get some things organized in the girls bedroom.  I put all the items I got from my sister’s house in there so I need to get them straight.  I am also going to make my videos for next week’s cards.  I am also working on the classroom for the Inspiration in the Mail ~ Halloween Tricks and Treats online card class.  Don’t miss this fun class!

Are you curious about the title for today’s post?  I went out yesterday to get the mail and there was an envelope from Stampin’ Up in the mailbox.  I thought they had shipped one of my small orders through the mail.  Imagine my surprise when I opened it up and found this 15 year pin inside.

I knew I had been with Stampin’ Up quite a while but had no idea it was 15 years.  I started with Stampin’ Up after my divorce.  I was still working as an Assistant Principal but needed something to fill my time since I was an empty nester.  I joined on July 7, 2005.  When I first started having workshops in my house I would have 4 stations set up and would have anywhere from 8 – 12 people attend each session.  I usually had 2 sessions an evening and a Saturday morning.  I enjoyed having these classes and helping other ladies learn new skills.

The next year I went to my first Convention.  I was standing in line to pick up my bag and supplies and started talking to a lady who lived in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Imagine our surprise to find out we had both signed up to be demonstrators on the same day the year before.  We hung out at the Convention as I had gone by myself.  We have been friends ever since and whenever the Convention is in Salt Lake and I go we hang out.  You can make some great friends at Convention!

Since that time I have moved to a new state and continued with my business.  With Covid-19 I am offering my classes online.  I am even going to do them through Zoom.  I am hoping to do a Zoom stamp-along next week.  I am going to give everyone the supplies needed and measurements and we will put the card together.  I may do 2 but it will depend on the time.  If you would like to be sent the link to join us, send me a message.

Thanks for letting me share my story of how I began with Stampin’ Up.  I am still so surprised it has been 15 years.  I am doing a Facebook Live ~ One Card, Three Styles this morning at 10:30 am EST.  If you are available we would love to have you join us!  Have a Super Saturday and it was fun to reminisce about my story 15 Years ~ Hard to Believe.

  1. Congratulations on 15 years! I remember making cards with you over 20 years ago before we even heard of Stampin Up.
