2 cards for you today

This will be a quick post as it is really really really late. I am trying a new photo editing program and after 5 hours I finally got my first photo saved. The next 3 were much faster and I think I have the different options figured out. Now I just need to play with the Brightness and Contrast adjustments to get the colors right.
My first card uses Gretchen’s Weekend sketch challenge from her Inspiration in Action blog. I did change the size of the panel and the placement of the ribbon. Here is her sketch and my creation.

Stampin’ Up Supplies
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes Paper: Apricot Appeal, Basic Black, Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery, white, Certainly Celery DS, Patterns Pack II Ink: Cameo Coral, Certainly Celery Acessories: Apricot Appeal – Cameo Coral – Certainly Celery markers, eyelet border punch, dimensionals

My second card uses Tracy’s Thursday sketch from her blog Eat Sleep Stamp. Her sketch had 2 panels on the front and I decided to use the 2 panels to make a gate fold card. I also played with a different punched flower and I have to admit I like this one much better. I used the new large flower punch and punched 4 flowers. I then crumbled up each flower really tight. Next I uncrumpled the flowers and layered them on top of each other (I decided to use both sides of the designer series paper and alternate the layers. I also staggered the petals to give it some depth.). Using my mat pack and piercer to put a hole in the center of the stacked flowers and added a brad. I then fluffed my layers to make it look more realistic. This also fits the punch challenge at Late Night Stampers group. Here is Tracy’s sketch and my creation.
