2 Cards to share with you today!

Happy Thursday Everyone! Only 1 more day and the weekend, yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have 2 cards for you today. The first card is for a citrus challenge on the Moxie Fab World blog. Cath does a great job of following current trends and sharing them with you. She is also very generous with give-aways all the time. Her challenge was to use the picture below to create a project. I chose to do a card. Here is the inspiration and my card.

Stamps: Eastern Blooms, A Beautiful Thing, Perfect Plaids (both retired) Paper: Garden Green, River Rock, Summer Sun, white Ink: Garden Green, River Rock, Summer Sun Accessories: Garden Green – Summer Sun markers, Garden Green – River Rock – Summer Sun brads (Pink Hedgehog), ribbon (had for a very longggggg time), sticky tape, dimensionals
My second card was made for the Splitcoast Color Challenge for this week. You were to use Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, and So Saffron. A current craze on blogs right now is to do the Watercolor Roses – some people are calling it the color splash technique. I decided to give it a try but to use a different flower from the Fifth Avenue Floral set. The technique calls for reinkers. I had them in 2 of the colors but did not have one for Pumpkin Pie. I decided to try it using the ink you get in the lid when you squeeze the ink pad (what you do when you need to watercolor with an aqua painter). To get it to work I had to play with it a little but I think the result is pretty good. Here is a link to Patty’s Stamping Spot where you can find a video tutorial for the technique here. Here is my creation.
