Hand Stamped Sentiments – embossed scene

Hello Ladies!

Well yesterday was not a good day for me.  I decided I needed to do some shopping.  I needed some clothes for the cooler weather.  I started with boots – not good, nothing fit.  I have a narrow heel and always struggle with finding shoes.  So I decided to try and see if I could get a pair of ballet flats.  No luck there either.  Gave up and left the store.  I decided to see if I could find some new clothes.  I wanted to look for some leggings and tops.  I went into Chico’s but no luck.  I gave up and came home.  I will try again tomorrow and see if I can find anything that will work.  I have always hated shopping as I can never find things that fit.  It is the story of my whole life!  Oh well let’s get on with the card.

Today is the challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This week we had a sketch challenge.

When I saw this I thought of the ombre technique.  Then I thought about using different embossing folders.  After a little more thinking, I thought about using the embossing folders to create a scene.  When I had that idea I thought of using different colors to give the illusion of a scene also.  Now I just had to pick my embossing folders.

I recently got the On Point and Lucky Stars folders.  I pulled them out.  Then I thought about the colors I could use.  I thought about a blue and then a yellow for the sky and 3 shades of green for the ground.  After that I decided to add a sentiment to the shaped element at the bottom.  I then needed to add a bow and my card was done.  Here is my version of the sketch.

I hope you will head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog  to see what the other design team members created using this sketch.  I am sure there will be some fabulous creations.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have a full day today but will find time to finish up my cards for when I am out of town.  Have a Terrific Tuesday!
