Merry Snowflake

Well the weekend is finally here.  I was able to do some playing yesterday.  I had a huge order for my cards (120) so I made boxes to put them in.  I will share the boxes as a later time.  After that I made several cards for the upcoming week.

My card today is for the sketch challenge at Creative Club Challenge .  I liked the layout and immediately thought of some sets I could use.

I remembered the All is Calm Specialty ds paper and I loved the lavender color in the picture.  When I pulled out the paper, and looked at it there is no lavender in the paper.  I guess this is a photography lighting issue.  I did not like the look of what I was going to do with the paper so I decided to continue with my idea but modify the paper I was using.  I continued with the Wisteria Wonder card base but instead of using some ds paper I used the decorative dots embossing folder to add some interest.  I wanted to use the snowflakes from the Snowflake Card thinlit die so I cut one out of Shimmery White paper, one out of Wisteria Wonder cardstock, and one out of Brushed Silver paper.  I layered them and they were the half circle element on the right side.

I decided to use Seasonally Scattered set for the center panel.  I inked it up with Versamark and then Wisteria Wonder.  I stamped it on my paper and then heat embossed it with Iridescent Ice.  It is really sparkly.  To finish it off I added a bow with the silver ribbon.  Here is my interpretation of the sketch.

I hope you enjoyed my card today.  I am going to look at refrigerators today.  We may be buying a new on as the one I have is 10 years old and lately I have some concerns about it.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am planning on working on some more cards for my blog today.  Have a Super Saturday!
