Coloring Down the Lines – My Friend

Happy Mid-Week Everyone!

Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  This week we had a fun picture to get our color inspiration from.

Stampin’ Up color matches

When I saw these colors I did not want to use the purples as it felt like I had used purple a lot lately.  That left me with the 3 other colors.

I went looking for some challenges I could use for my card.  I ran across a stencil challenge at Addicted to CAS.   I had not played with my stencils in a while so I decided to use them on my card.  I chose to use the stripes stencil.  I added ink with a sponge dauber.

I liked the simplicity of the sketch at Creative Challenge Club so I decided to use it.

I wanted to add some interest to the small rectangle so I cut the top with a retired SU edgelit.  After I put my card together, I did not want to hide my decorative edge so I moved the sentiment over.  Here is my creation.

Are you ready to see what colors the other ladies used?  Head on over to the next blog on our hop Amanda’s Our Crafty Playdate to see what colors she used.

Thanks for visiting me today.  It will be a quiet day for me as I am not sleeping well.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
