Stampin’ Up watercolor background

Hello Stampers!

Well I did not get as much done as I had hoped yesterday.  I had some errands to run and then Jess and I had to go grocery shopping.  Needless to say that took longer than we had wanted.

My card today was another one I saw on Pinterest.  Pam Steckman shared a card where she created the background using a video from Stampin’ Up.  I wanted to see if I could use the idea to create a Halloween background.

I followed the directions from the video but my background did not turn out very well.  Usually I don’t share my flops but just tell you about it.  I did take a picture and will share it with you so you can see I don’t always have success the first time.  Here is the picture of my flop.

The original video used Whisper White cardstock.  I decided to do the same technique but this time use watercolor paper.  It was much more successful the second time.  I don’t know why it didn’t work like the video with the Whisper White cardstock.  I want to keep playing with this idea to see if I can get it to work with the Whisper White.  I have some ideas to try I just hope it works.

After switching to the watercolor paper, I like the way it turned out.  Here is my card with the new background.

I love the look of the background.  I used some retired ds paper for my envelope.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am headed to the yarn store for a while to see my friend and knit.  Have a Great Day!

Robbie
