Coloring Down the Lines Bloom

Hello Stampers!

Well what is on your schedule for today?  I am hoping to get over to the yarn shop to see my friend and I have to pack.  I will need to get to bed fairly early as we have a very early flight and we live 2 hours from the airport.  That is okay as we will get to California early afternoon.

Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  I chose the picture today.

Stampin’ Up color matches

I was drawn to the lovely pinks in these flowers.  Pink is my favorite color!  When I began to work on my card and I looked at the picture I immediately thought of the Blended Bloom stamp.  I stamped the image on a piece of Very Vanilla then used markers to color it in.  I used the picture to help me color mine as close to the original as I could.  After it was done I need my card base.  I decided to stamp the bloom using the different colors I had used to color mine.  I was going for a subdued background look but I think it would have been better if I had used second and third generation stamping for the background.  After I had it done, I laid my layer on the card base.  It needed something and I had a piece of silver glimmer paper on my desk from a previous project.  I added it at the bottom and liked the look.  Here is my final creation.

Are you ready to see what the other ladies created using my picture?  Head on down the lines to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafy Playdate  to see how she interpretted the picture.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Wish me luck that I get everything done I want to do today and I can get to bed early.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Robbie
