Hello Stampers!
Time for our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop. This week we were to use
Bashful Blue and Marina Mist
When I saw these colors I was reminded of the butterflies we saw this weekend at the Natural History Museum in Washington DC. We had gone downtown to see the Cherry Blossoms but we were ahead of them. We decided to go over to the museums. We chose the Natural History one as we knew it would have some animals that Zoie would like.
When we got there we saw they had a butterflies exhibit and though we did not go through the tent – it cost to go in and the line was huge – they had a window you could look through and see the butterflies. There was a beautiful black on in there that when it flapped it’s wings you saw the prettiest blue. Since I had just gotten the Swallowtail stamp and had not used it, I decided to use it and the colors to make my card.
I had a playdate with a friend and she had the pop-n-cuts dies. I cut a bunch to play with while she was here. As luck would have it I had cut a Marina Mist card so I was set to go. I saw on Connie Stewart’s blog how she used Dazzling Diamonds on a nail polish painted soda tab. I decided to see if I could add Dazzling Diamonds to a craft ink stamped image and emboss over it. I was excited that it worked and my butterfly is very sparkly. Here is my creation for our hop.

I hope you enjoyed my card today. Now it is time to head on down the blog hop and visit Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to see what she did with our colors. Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!

This is super, Robbie. I've been thinking that butterfly is too big, but what you did is wonderful — I have to have it! You are such an enabler. Now you'll have to show me how you did the inside pop up. Love the sparkle. Great challenge.
Wowie! Love it! good job!

WONDERFUL…love the colors and how you divided the butterfly on the front….!
