Hello Everyone ~ Watercolor Blending is so much fun and today I have another great card for you using this technique.
I have been a busy bee the past few days. I have quite a few cards to make before we leave next week. I am working my way through my list and crossing things off. I have a number of videos to make so I will be working on those so they are ready to post on the correct day. Anyone want to come help me?
I played with another idea from Birgit Edblom’s cards. She had this great card that I thought I would see if I could do my version of.
This was a beautiful card and wanted to see what I could do with it. I had to work on the background for my Watercolor Blending card as it had to dry. I began by wetting my watercolor paper. Then I used the Pool Party reinker in the lid and a paintbrush to add ink at the top and let it spread. The bottom was next so I added some Rose Red reinker like before so it could spread. The middle was Elegant Eggplant reinker added the same way as the other reinkers and I monitored the spreading. If it was not spreading and mixing, I spritzed it with more water. When I was happy with how it had spread and blended I set it aside to dry. While it was drying I worked on my other elements. I took a piece of Whisper White for my layer and embossed it with the Fluttering embossing folder. This was added to a Whisper White card base. My watercolor background was almost dry so I used my heat tool to finish drying it and then added it to the card base using dimensionals. To finish my card like Birgit’s I used a scrap of Whisper White and the Butterfly thinlits to cut out my butterfly. It was added to the front with dimensionals. Here is my creation. How do you think my card compares to Birgit’s? Did I do ok?

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you. I will be seeing how many more items I can cross off my long list. How many do you think I will get done today? I have Remi until 1 when I take her to her other grandmother’s. Take a guess at how much I will get done! Have a Great Day and I hope you will give Watercolor Blending a try.
