Swirly Bird Flowers

Good Morning Everyone ~ want to see some Swirly Bird Flowers with an artistic appearance?

I will be packing today as I will be leaving for North Carolina tomorrow.  I try to leave by 10 as it is a 5 hours drive.  I am looking for some podcasts to listen to help break up the long drive.  I will listen to the radio but it would nice to have a diversion for a change.  Any one know any good podcasts?  I would love to find some craft ones.

I saw a card online that inspired me for this one.  I began by sponging color on for the large flowers.  Using the Swirly Scribbles thinlits I cut out the large flower with Tangerine Tango and small swirl with Daffodil Delight.  The clear Wind of Stella pen was used to add sparkle – you know I have to have my bling – to the cut outs.  Tombow multipurpose glue was used to attach the 2 swirls.  It needed some leaves so I used Old Olive and the May Flowers thinlits to cut them out.  I sponged some Old Olive ink before adding the leaves.  Now that my flowers were done I went looking for a sentiment.  The Sheltering Tree set had the perfect one.  I inked up half the stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black and stamped it onto a scrap of white.  Cleaning the stamp I inked up the other half and stamped the rest of the sentiment under the first part.  I used the new Everyday Label punch to punch the ends.  I repeated the punching using a piece of Tangerine Tango.  This is a great way to get more out of your punches by using only part of the punch to create a new shape.  The sentiment was added to my card using dimensionals.  Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  As I was writing this post I thought of another framelit set that could be used for this type of card.  Look for it to appear on my blog in early September.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and there are lots of colors you could use to recreate this Swirly Bird Flowers card so give it a try.
