Simple Hello Friend

Good Morning Ladies ~ sometimes we just need a Simple Hello Friend card to send to that special friend.

I did not get as much done as I wanted to yesterday.  I got a phone call from daycare that Remi was sick.  I had to pick her up.  She was running a low grade fever.  She came home an proceeded to play and eat like she was starved.  I think she is catching a cold.  The day care has a rule that they have to be fever free for 24 hours.  I will have her again tomorrow as Jess has started her new job and does not have any leave.  I also have a workshop this afternoon so I may be wearing her on my back to get things done.

Today is our challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. This week we have a color challenge.

I opted for another Fall card.  This time I used the Colorful Seasons bundle.  I began by stamping the solid leaf on Whisper White.  I used a second generation stamping for the Always Artichoke since it is a strong color.  Then using the outline stamp I stamped the outline on the solid image using the same color.  The framelit was used to cut them out.  A piece of Night of Navy card stock was embossed with the Brick Wall embossing folder.  I used the Encore gold ink pad and swiped it across the raised area to make the raised lines pop.  The embossed piece as added to a Whisper White card base.  The cut out leaves were added to the card front with glue dots and dimensionals.  I used some select inking for my stamp set and stamped it so the words were stacked.  I punched it out with a 1″ circle punch.  Using the 1 1/4″ circle punch, a So Saffron circle was punched out and the sentiment was mounted onto it.  The sentiment was added to the card front using dimensionals.  Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  We will be having Jess’ birthday dinner this evening.  I am hoping to get the Apple Crisp made this morning so all I have to do is fix the dinner.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and would you like to get my Simple Hello Friend card in the mail?
