Painted Autumn Scarecrow

Hello Stampers ~ today I played with some old and new items and created a Painted Autumn Scarecrow card.

Today is my World Card Making Day event.  I have several ladies who will be working on making Birthday cards for the Nursing Home and Thank You cards for Hospice.  I will be sure to share pictures of the event tomorrow.  I am excited about it as this is my first event for a World Card Making Day.  I am hoping to be able to have more events like this.  Maybe I will plan one where we make Christmas cards for the Nursing Home and the Vets home.  Now I have got myself thinking!

I have been wanting to play with some of the new Painted Autumn dsp.  Some of the dsp is pretty busy so I am challenged to find other ways to use it.  Today I used a retired set the Cookie Cutter Halloween and the cute little scarecrow.  I stamped the scarecrow and used my markers to color it in using the colors in the dsp.  After he was colored I knew I would have to mount him or he would be lost in the background.  I used Early Espresso and Lemon Lime Twist card stock for my layers.  Before I added my layers to my card base I wrapped Linen Thread around it several times criss crossing the wraps.  Here is my completed creation.
