Hand Stamped Sentiments – Fancy Folds

Hello Everyone!

Well are you ready for Thanksgiving?  Can you believe it is 2 days away?  I am headed to Jess’ today as I will be spending Thanksgiving at their house.  It will be great to see Zoie as I have not seen her in a while.  I am also 3 weeks away from the end of my courses so that will help as I will be able to visit more often.

At Hand Stamped Sentiments this week our challenge is all about Fancy Folds.

I love making fancy folds as they are so much fun to do.  The one in the photo gave me some ideas so I think I will play with that fold.

My challenge to myself was to make a card using a fold that I have never done before.  I went searching and found a tutorial for the double pocket card.  Now you may think that there isn’t any folding with this but the actual card is made by folding a large piece of patterned paper.  When finish you have the card with the 2 pockets for your tags.  It is a lot easier than you think.  Here is my creation.

tags and envelope

To make the snowflakes on the envelope I use the die and cut out a stencil.  If you need some ideas for other fancy folds, head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog to see what my teammates created.  I know I will be checking it out as it will be fun to make other fancy folds.  Thanks for looking and have a Terrific Tuesday!

  1. Great minds think alike 😉 love what you did with yours! Happy Thanksgiving.

  2. I did this one in a group meeting of my up-up line a few years ago and it was very fun to do….made another one and sent to family members…they really liked it. Thanks for the reminder to make fancy fold cards, especially folds we have never done! Happy Thanksgiving wishes – safe travel and know you will have such fun with your granddaugher!

  3. That's a really cool fold, and I love the tags you tucked in there!
