Hand Stamped Sentiments – inked embossing folder

Hello Ladies!

I have been watching the leaf predictions over the past couple of weeks.  I have plans to go to the mountains to see the leaves and get apples.  I am hoping the leaves will have turned quite a bit by Saturday.  The local weather says this should be a good weekend to see some fall color.  I am crossing my fingers!

Over at Hand Stamped Sentiments  our challenge this week is to take an embossing folder and ink it up.

I wanted to use a folder that most people would not think of.  I pulled out my catalog and found the perfect one.  I decided I would use the square folder in the Designer Frames Folders.  My thoughts were that if I inked it up with black it would turn out like a picture frame.  I ran into some difficulty as I stamped my image first and then inked up the folder.  I tried it several times and only half of the frame would emboss.  I am not sure if I had inked up the wrong side or what.  I ended up using a marker to color in the rest of the frame.  Here is my creation.
