Magical Day Mermaid

Hello Ladies ~ The Myths & Magic Suite in the Occasions catalog was used for my Magical Day Mermaid card today.

Well the painters are going to finish up today.  I am so glad it will be done.  My house has been in chaos for far too long and it is getting to me.  When they leave tomorrow I will be vacuuming and moving some of my bins back into the room so I can get more organized.  It will be good to have my house back.  I will be glad in a few weeks when things settle down.

I need some cards for my blog and did not have the energy or ideas so I check out my challenge blogs.  I found a great sketch that I knew right away what I wanted to do.  The Just Add Ink challenge blog had a fun sketch.

I knew this would be fun using the Myths & Magic Suite.  I began with a Berry Burst card base.  I embossed the background with the Seaside embossing folder on a piece of Whisper White panel.  I inked up the raised line side of the embossing folder using a Bermuda Bay ink pad before running it through the Big Shot.  This inked up the debossed lines on my card panel.  This panel was added to my card base using Tear & Tape.  Next I took a piece of the Myths & Magic sparkly circle dsp and added it to the card base using Tear & Tape.  Using the large scallop framelit from the Magical Mates framelits dies I cut some waves out of Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.  I did a repeat cut to get a long strip and then cut the strip down to the size I needed.  Those were added to the dsp using glue dots.  To finish off my card I stamped the mermaid image and colored her in.  She was attached to the card using dimensionals.  Here is my Magical Day Mermaid creation.
