Hello Ladies ~ Don’t you just love Project Day?
What plans do you have for today? I have a massage this morning and then I will be working in my craft room and making some projects to post as well as my samples for my upcoming classes.
Our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop is doing some different challenges. This week our challenge was to make a project but it could not be a card. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to see what the other ladies created with this challenge. I am the start of the hop but you may have come here from Sandy’s blog – Ice Mountain Designs. Make sure you continue on the entire hop so you don’t miss any of the fabulous creations!
How many of you remember this Paper Pumpkin kit from June?
I did alternative ideas so I have a lot of those bags left over. If you remember I used them last summer to make watermelon slices. I decided to see if I could use them to make a fun heart treat holder.
First I took my retired heart framelits out and found one that I could use that would be about the size of the top of the triangle bag. Once I had the framelit, I used some Real Red card stock and cut out just the top of the heart. I cut out a second one to use as the back. Tear & Tape was applied to the 2 hearts at the bottom, middle, and top. The bags were filled with red M&M’s. I attached the bottom of one of the hearts to the top of the bag. The other heart was then added to the first heart matching up the bottom edges. The backing of the other strips of tear & tape were removed and the 2 hearts were stuck together. Using the Sweetheart punch and the Sending Love dsp a heart was punched and added to the front of the large heart. I used the retired heart from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and red glimmer paper to punch out a small heart and added it to the center of the large heart with a glue dot. My little treat holder was finished and ready to put in Zoie’s lunch box as a surprise. Here is what she will find in her lunch box.
Are you ready to check out what the other ladies created for this challenge? Head on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to check out her project. I am sure it will be something you will want to try your version of.
Thanks for visiting me today. It has been cold the past few days but that is good as it will kill all the germs floating around lately. Have a Wonderful Wednesday and let us know what you think of our Project Day!
