Tranquil Textures and Touches of Texture

Happy Monday Everyone ~ today I used Tranquil Textures and Touches of Texture for my creation.

I had a great day yesterday.  I made 2 cards I needed and worked on my planner.  I am set for the next couple of months and will plan another time to work on some more of the months.  This is a work in progress for me as well as a learning situation to find the best way to use it to fit my needs.  This evening I have the girls as Jess is getting a haircut.  I was hoping to take them to the pool but they do not have their passes yet so we will do the playground instead.  They love going to the playground so it will be an easy compromise.

Do you love playing with designer series paper?  Would you love to have some of the paper in the new 2018 – 2019 Annual Catalog?  There are times when I want some of the designer series paper but don’t want a whole pack of it as I am not sure I will use it that often (believe me I have had lots of designer series paper left when it retires).  I would often want to have just a little of each patter to play with it and see if I will use it enough to get a whole package.  I have the perfect opportunity for you to solve this problem ~ Mixed Bags!  My Mixed Bags kits give you a 4″ x 6″ piece of each designer series paper in the collection.  I also include 6 card bases so you are ready to create as soon as you get your kit.  I have also listed the coordinating products that go with the designer series paper in case you already have it you will be able to use those also.  And exclusive to my Mixed Bags I send you a pdf file of different cutting directions for the designer series paper.  These cut files allow you to make more than the 6 cards in the kit using your own supplies.  Want to see what designer series papers I have?  I have just received more of the new paper from the catalog and will be adding those this week.  Check out what I currently have here.  Order you kit now so you can begin to play with the new designer series paper before the big sale next month.  Then you will know which paper you just have to have.

I decided to play with some of the designer series paper that will be on special next month.  There are some great patterns in the Tranquil Textures designer series paper.  I decided to use the monochromatic Mint Macaron piece and paired it with the multicolored wavy piece.  For my image I thought these papers would be perfect with the Touches of Texture stamp set.  The designer series paper is part of the Tranquil Textures suite.  The suite has the Sea of Textures stamp set in it.  I wanted to show how versatile this paper can be by pairing it with another set.  I stamped my flowers using using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Then using a blender pen and ink in the lid I colored in the image.  The Stitched Shapes framelits were used to cut out the image.  To put my card together I used a Fresh Fig card base and attached the monochromatic designer series paper.  The multicolored wavy piece was attached to a piece of Fresh Fig.  Both papers had one end flagged with the Banner Triple punch.  This strip was added to the middle of the dsp layer.  To finish the card, I added dimensionals to the back of the image and added it to the card base.  Here is the completed Tranquil Textures and Touches of Texture creation.
