Handmade Chapstick Holder

Hello Stampers ~ do you want a cute way to package a Handmade Chapstick Holder?

Well Michaela is headed home today.  It has been great having her here for the past week.  She and Jess spent a lot of quality time this week which is good.  I am not sure when she will be back as her work schedule is very heavy.  Things will settle back into a regular routine now which will be good as I was coming and going this past week.  The girls have enjoyed having her here also.  They love their “TTM” (Zoie when she was little could not say “Auntie M” and it came out at “TTM” so it stuck!) and enjoy seeing her and spending time with her.  It was a great week!

I messed up this time ladies.  I totally forgot to make my video for this project.  I will try and get time this week to make a video and post it here.  I don’t know what I was thinking when I made this.  To start I used a piece of card stock that was cut to 2″ x 5 1/2″.  I used the girls favorite colors so Pool Party for Zoie and Petal Pink for Remi.  I punched the top of the card stock using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.  I took the chapsticks and covered each of them with a piece of Twinkle Twinkle designer series paper.  I then set the chapstick tube on the card stock and marked the top, bottom, and each side.  Using my paper snips, I cut out the rectangle for the chapstick tube.  I tested it several times to make sure the tube would sit down in the rectangle and nicely.  The Tabs for Everything stamp set I stamped the hearts in the same color as the card stock.  To ensure the tubes did not fall out, I used a strip of card stock on the back and some Tear& Tape to form a paper arc that was attached on each side and had some Tear & Tape on the cap and bottom to hold the tube in the rectangle.  The sentiment is from Detailed with Love.  After it was stamped I flagged the one end and used the hole punch on the other end.  The ribbon was threaded through the hole at the top and tied with the Whisper White baker’s twine in a double knot.  The baker’s twine was threaded through the hole in the sentiment strip and a bow was tied.  Here is my completed Handmade Chapstick Holder.
