Hello Everyone ~ I have a beautiful Stampin’ Up Incredible Like You creation to share with you today.
I had a very relaxing day yesterday. I helped Jess wrap the girls presents and I also did some pencil coloring. I have wanted to work on some skills I have learned so far in my class. I stamped some images and brought my pencils with me. I took some time and played yesterday. Here is what I colored.
I think for my rose I should have colored the darker color in the center and worked out to my lighter color. Not bad for my first try at shading. For the butterfly I think it blended better as there was more of a contract between my blues. I love how the feathering occurred on the wings to make it look more natural. That was a pure accident that I loved. I thought about it and figured out what I had done so I repeated it to get the look on all the sections. Again I was playing. I have some more images but had to quit as the girls were coming home and I did not want my pencils out when they got here.
I played with a new set from the Occasions catalog I got at Convention. This set is the Incredible Like You. I have used this set a lot since I got it. I used Calypso Coral which I don’t use often as I am not fond of it. Paired with So Saffron and Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow it turned out very pretty. I stamped the 3 flower images onto scrap paper and fussy cut them out. I then took my Whisper White 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece and using the fussy cut flowers for placement I stamped my leaf sprays. To fill in I stamped some of the image that goes to a flower spray. The fussy cut flowers were then added. I stamped my sentiment and added some rhinestones. My Stampin’ Up Incredible Like You creation was complete!
