Hello Stampers ~ to me Daffodils mean Spring is around the corner!
Today will be a busy day. Remi has gymnastics class this morning and then her birthday party is in the afternoon. I went to Zoie’s class last night. It is amazing how these teachers can take 30 active kids and keep them under control in a room full of soft cushions. They did 3 rotations. The first rotation were the balance beams. They were doing forward rolls on the low beams, jumps on the middle beams and walking forward and backward on the tall beams. The next rotation involved walk overs and jumping from the floor to the top of a foam board. The last rotation worked on jumping on a spring board and doing a forward flip. I was amazed at what she was doing. She really enjoys the class. It will be interesting to see what Remi does today.
I had not played with the You’re Inspiring stamp set in quite a while. I love the daffodil image in this set. I stamped the image onto the Whisper White card base front. I used Calypso Coral to color the trumpet part of the flower. I don’t know what the name of this daffodil is but it is a favorite of mine. I then colored the leaves using Old Olive and a blender pen. To highlight the flowers I decided to take a panel of Calypso Coral and using the die from Eclectic Layers I cut out a space big enough for the flowers to show through. I had to position the die in various spots to get the center to cut out enough for the daffodils to show. Once I had the cut out big enough, I added the Calypso Coral panel to the card base using dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings onto a scrap of Whisper White and flagged the end. A piece of the Old Olive 1/8″ sheer ribbon was tied on the end away from the flag. I added the sentiment using dimensionals. Here is the completed Daffodils mean Spring is around the corner creation.
