Grateful for a Friend Card

Good Morning Stampers ~ I have a beautiful, feminine Grateful for a Friend Card for you today.

I had a great day yesterday.  I went to a knitting group and met some very nice ladies.  It has been a while since I have knitted on this pattern so I forgot where I was on the pattern.  I spent the 2 hours knitting and unknitting before I realized I was on the wrong part of the pattern.  Oh well I need to work on it some so I can get the pattern marked where I am.  Guess I will be doing that over the next few days so I figure out where I am.

It is time for our next Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.   This time we have a color challenge.

I loved these colors and thought they would make a great soft feminine card.  I began using the new stitched rectangles to cut out a piece of Whisper White and Soft  Foam.  For the white piece I stamped the small cute flower from the Tea Together stamp set.  I stamped it at the bottom of the rectangle using Soft Sea Foam ink.  I used some Highland Heather and Soft Sea Foam inks and glycerin to color the flower.  I found the perfect sentiment in Bunch of Blossoms and stamped it using Highland Heather.  I took the Soft Sea Foam card stock I had cut out and using the Layered Leaves embossing folder I embossed it.  After I had it embossed I realized I had embossed the wrong side.  That gave me the idea to try a technique I have seen a lot of people do using the Country Floral embossing folder.  I pulled out my Soft Sea Foam ink pad, a blender pen, and my glycerin and used it to color the indented leaves.  I love how it turned out and will be playing with this idea some more.  I still needed to use the Pool Party color, so I used a piece of the Pool Party and the Subtle embossing folder to emboss the card stock.  I used some of the silver metallic edged ribbon to add to the top of the Pool Party card stock.  The Pool Party card stock was then added to a Whisper White card base.  I then added the embossed leaves to the center of the card on the left with dimensionals.  The sentiment layer was added to the right hand side of the embossed leaves layer using dimensionals.  To finish the card, a bow was added to the ribbon using glue dots and a rhinestone was added to the center of the flower.  Here is the completed Grateful for a Friend Card.
