Good Morning Stampers ~ if you are looking for Card Making Idea for Kids, check out today’s card.
Well I am headed to Jess’ today. I had to bring Bijou with me which I don’t like since it was a short trip but the 2 sitters I usually use are both booked already. This was a change as we had to switch Zoie’s birthday party from last weekend to this weekend. The poor dog has been moved around a lot lately that she is sticking close to me since she is not sure what is going on. Hopefully after this weekend she will be fine and settle down. Movers are scheduled to come on Tuesday which I am glad about as I will finally get my bed. I will also have a dining room table which will be nice. If I can just get TV and internet!. Thank heavens my neighbor has a strong signal and I can use their’s to post my card.
Today I played with the Animal Outing stamp set. I love the giraffe in this set and decided to use him. It is just the head so you have to do some creative thinking in order for the card to look right. I began with a Crumb Cake card base and added a panel of Animal Expedition designer series paper. I stamped the giraffe using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored him in using So Saffron and Crumb Cake markers. The coordinating framelits were used to cut him out. I cut a strip of Share What You Love designer series paper the width of the other designer series paper and attached the giraffe to the back. This strip and giraffe were added to the card base using dimensionals. For my sentiment I used a retired tag punch. On the tag I stamped the “Hello” from Jar of Love and then used the Make a Difference to spell out “Cutie”. I added the tag to the card using dimensionals also. To finish off the creation I tied a multi loop bow using linen thread. Here is my completed Card Making Idea for Kids.
