Cute This Little Piggy Handmade Card

Hello Stampers ~ if you need a smile today, check out my Cute This Little Piggy Handmade Card idea below.

Today we have Zoie’s birthday party.  This is just for family as she is taking a few friends tomorrow to get manicures and Sweet Frog yogurt.  She has decided to have pizza and she wanted one of her mom’s homemade pound cakes as her cake.  She does have some family friends coming today but mainly it is family.  Hopefully it will be low key!

I went looking for a stamp set to use for a card.  When I looked at the This Little Piggy stamp set this pig reminded me of Wilbur from Charlotte’s Web.  I kept the image simple by just coloring the image with markers.  I cut it down and mounted it onto a piece of Grapefruit Grove card stock.  I had pulled the piece of Nature’s Poem designer series paper with the leaves to use with it.  I mounted the strip onto a piece of Soft Suede card stock.  My sentiment came from Love what you do and was stamped using Grapefruit Grove ink.  I used the Starburst punch to punch it out.  The layer behind it is Grapefruit Grove cut using the Layering Circles framelits.  When I laid all the pieces onto my Whisper White card stock it was missing something.  I decided to use the Layered Leaves embossing folder debosssed (used the folder upside down so the leaves are indented rather than popped up) the card front.  Now when I add my elements it looks much better.  Here is the completed Cute This Little Piggy Handmade Card.

This little pig image is perfect for children's cards. I think this Cute This Little Piggy Handmade Card looks like Wilbur from the children's book Charlotte's Webdon't you?
