Hello Stampers ~ I have an adorable Gingham Butterflies card for you today.
Well I went to Restore yesterday and found a small desk for $25 that is perfect. I cleaned it up and went looking for my basket that I had to use on the desk to hold my supplies. I have not located the basket yet but I did find one I can use if I have to. After that I pulled all my sewing supplies and sewing machines and got them put away in the cabinet. I am hoping today to get my filing cabinet organized so I can clear out some more boxes. I also want to spend some time in my craft room organizing it a little more. Then I am going to have some play time with Barb as a reward. I have to find the clips to attach my tall cabinet to the wall so I can put away my yarn and cross stitch stuff. It will be a busy day!
I have a lot of designer series paper. Some of my favorite is the gingham paper from the retired Occasions catalog. I thought it would be great to pair with the Butterfly Gala set. I used a 2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the Highland Heather pattern. I attached the smaller checked side to a panel of Whisper White. A strip of 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ of the Lemon Lime Twist was added down the left hand side of the purple overlapping it just a little. This panel was then added to a Lemon Lime Twist card base. A scrap of Whisper White was used to stamp the butterfly using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped 2 other little ones. They were colored using Highland Heather and Lemon Lime Twist. The coordinating punch was used to punch all of them out. The little ones were added along the lower left hand side of the designer series paper using glue dots. The large one was added to the card using dimensionals. To finish my card I added rhinestones to the center of the butterflies. Here is my completed Gingham Butterflies.
