Hello Everyone ~ today I am back to sharing the designer series paper with my Garden Lane in Ovals.
Well Jess got here late last night. The girls were so excited to talk to her yesterday as she was heading down here. I think they think they are going to stay awake until she gets here but that will never happen as I don’t expect her until around 1 pm. I am sure they will be up early and in her bed with her. I am not sure if we will be going to the beach or the pool. I think it will depend on if there are rip tides and if we can get in the water or not. If we cannot get in the water, I think we will spend the day at the pool. The weather is saying mostly cloudy but things can change by the morning. We will see.
Today I am back to my week of sharing ideas for the Garden Lane designer series paper. This is number 4 using this paper. If you did not see the first one, here is where you will find my Stampin’ Up Garden Lane Designer Series Paper Week first post. I have a simple card today. I used a piece of the designer series paper and cut it out with the Layering Ovals. The paper had a Mossy Meadow pattern to it so I used the same oval and cut out a Mossy Meadow oval. I stamped my sentiment from Butterfly Gala using Mossy Meadow onto Very Vanilla and then used the next smaller oval to cut it out. I used the spray from Love What You Do which somewhat matches the spray in the designer series paper and stamped it at the top. All of the ovals were layered by using the top of each oval. The first 2 ovals are matched up at the top. The third oval is moved down a little so that it shows. For the background I used the same spray and stamped it onto the card base coming out from behind the oval ~ the ovals were used for placement. A strip of Mint Macaron was used and the ends were flagged. This was attached above the leaf sprays. The sentiment ovals were then added using dimensionals. To finish the card, some retired faceted dots were added. Here is the completed Garden Lane in Ovals.
