Feels Like Frost Floral Essence

Good Morning Everyone ~ I have another Feels Like Frost Floral Essence idea today.

This is the last post I am trying to get done before Hurricane Dorian bears down on us.  I am currently under a tornado warning so hoping it passes me by and I can get this last post written and scheduled.  It is supposed to be worse after dark.  I am hoping that the winds they are saying we will have are true as they really are not that bad.  The winds are what is the worse part of a hurricane.  Hopefully all the trees around my house will hold up or fall away from the house.  They withstood Hurricane Florence last year and the winds are not supposed to be as bad with this one.

This week at Hand Stamped Sentiments we have a sketch challenge.

I recently ordered ~ actually I ordered 2 of the dies by mistake ~ the Stitched Nested Labels dies and knew I could use it for this sketch.  I wanted to use another pattern of the Feels Like Frost designer series paper.  I found one that had some leaves that looked like Ricoco Rose.  I strategically cut out the designer series paper to include a few of those leaves.  The leaves reminded me of the  leaves in the Floral Essence stamp set.  I decided to use that set.  I also thought the background color was Pretty Peacock so I cut a larger Stitched Labels using Pretty Peacock card stock.  I layered the 2 shapes and set them aside.  Using the stamp set I stamped several of the leaf clusters as well as one of the small flower using Pretty Peacock ink.  The leaves were punched out with the coordinating punch and I fussy cut the flower.  I then used the 3 petal flower stamp and Ricoco Rose ink to  stamp 2 of the flowers.  I used the punch to punch it out and then used glue dots to layer the 2 pieces.  I used my 1/2″ circle punch and some Sparkle Glimmer paper to punch out a circle.  I smashed the circle into my Pretty Peacock pad to color it and set it aside to dry.  For my sentiment I used the Butterfly Gala stamp set and stamped it with Whisper White craft ink then embossed it with White embossing powder.  I used my retired mini banner punch to flag the ends.  The card base is Whisper White and it was embossed using the Subtle embossing folder.  The designer series paper element was added to the card front in the upper right hand area.  I took a few of the leaf sprays and attached them to the back of the Ricoco Rose flower using glue dots.  The colored circle was attached to the flower using glue dots.  This element was then added to the lower left hand corner of the designer series paper shape.  The other cut out flower was added just above the 6 petal flower using dimensionals.  The last of the leaf sprays were added to the upper left hand corner of the designer series paper shape.  The last element was the sentiment which was added using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Feels Like Frost Floral Essence creation.

These new In Colors are very pretty. Check out how I used them in my Feels Like Frost Floral Essence creation. Click the photo to get the details.

Make sure you go over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge blog  to check out what the other ladies created using this sketch.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I finished the last of this post in my laundry room on the floor as we had a tornado warning.  It has expired so I am going to go out and see if I can get Bijou outside in between the rain bands.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and look at your designer series paper and use the parts of it that fit your needs like I did in my Feels Like Floral Essence creation.
