Thursday’s Focus

Happy Thursday Ladies ~ It is time for our Thursday Focus!

Yesterday Renee and I met to work on a class we both want to offer.  It was a successful day!  We got our project finished.  I will be sending out the announcement about it later this evening.  If you are not on my mailing list you won’t know about it.  Make sure you sign up using the form at the right!

Our Thursday Focus this week is all about the Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies.  These dies are in the Holiday Catalog but they are also carrying over and you will find them in the Occasions Catalog which you can order from on January 4th.  They make a great tag but you can also use them to make a panel for your card like I shared last week.

If you are coming here from Helen’s blog – Blue Dahlia Designs there are still several other blogs for you to visit.

This week I decided to use the dies to make a tag that I could use on a card.  I went with a Valentine theme.  I used some Real Red to cut out the scallop topped tag.  I then used one of the scroll dies to cut a decorative edge on the top flap.  To create a closure for the tag I used some Silver glimmer paper and punched out a Sweetheart heart.  I added a piece of white underneath to highlight the edge.  To create a closure for the tag I used some Silver glimmer paper and
punched out a Sweetheart heart.  I added a small piece of dimensional to
the bottom of the tag and then attached the heart so that the top of
the heart was used to hold the tag closed.   A piece of white was embossed using the Happy Heart embossing folder.  This was layered onto a Real Red card base using Tear & Tape.  The tag was attached to the front of the card base using dimensionals.  To finish off the card, I added a bow using the Glitter Ribbon combo pack.  Here is my completed project.

Thanks for visiting me today.  It is yarn store day today.  I will be working on some things when I get back from the yarn store so I have some other things to post later this weekend.  Have a Great Day and let us know what you think about Thursday’s Focus ideas.
