Hello Everyone ~ a pretty soft colored Beautiful Friendship in Flirty Flamingo idea for you today.
I was in high gear yesterday. I had a lot to do and I had to get it done. I managed to clean my bathroom, make the rest of the cards I need for this week, prepped for my workshop today, and did some laundry. I also did a few other jobs. I was pretty busy all day but did take a few breaks here and there. Today after my workshop I will be wrapping presents and packing them in bags to put in my car later this week when I head to Maryland. I also want to work on some more cards for my blog. My preorder is coming today so I will play with some of those things so I have some things to share that will show you what you can expect when the new catalog begins on January 3rd.
I played with some soft colors today as I wanted to take a break from all the holiday and winter cards. That meant I had to find some soft colors to play with. I began with Soft Sea Foam and went looking for another color to use with it. Since I was going to use the Beautiful Friendship stamp set, I had to come up with a color for the flower. I opted to use Flirty Flamingo and then decided to use Pear Pizzazz for the leaves. I stamped my flower towards the bottom of my Whisper White panel using the Flirty Flamingo. Then using the hydrangea stamp in the set and Soft Sea Foam ink I stamped the hydrangea around the edge of the flower. I made sure to use the area of the stamp that would stamp lighter so that it would add some texture more than a defined image. The leaves were then added with the Pear Pizzazz ink using a double stamping technique where you stamp the image and then shift the stamp slightly and stamp again without reinking the stamp. The stamped panel was then added to a Pear Pizazz panel and then added to a Soft Sea Foam panel. I chose to use a Flirty Flamingo card base and used the Subtle embossing folder for the front. Some Fold Metallic thread was wound around my fingers then added to back of the image panel using glue dots and Tear & Tape. The stamped panel was then attached to the card front using dimensionals. Here is my completed Beautiful Friendship in Flirty Flamingo.

This is a very versatile stamp set. Check out this clean and simple idea. This idea uses the Rococo Rose ink as the main focus. And make sure you look at this watercolor technique to see how it makes a pretty card.
