Hello Everyone ~ wait until you see the cute flamingo on my #ShopYourCraftStash Pop of Paradise card!
I spent yesterday cleaning my house. As a reward I made today’s card. I had not made it yet so I went looking at my retired sets and knew what I wanted to use. Today I am going to the recycling center and then going to make my videos and cards for next week. I have some cards made I can pull from but I need to do my videos as well as my design team card for Tuesday. I am hoping to get them all done so I have Sunday to knit or work on a puzzle I started.
My #ShopYourCraftStash card is the share for today. I have the Tropical Oasis paper and knew it would be perfect for the flamingo in Pop of Paradise when I saw it. I sent for a simple design I saw online as I knew it would be perfect to hightlight that cute flamingo. I took a panel of Daffodil Delight that was smaller than the card front and embossed it using the hexagon embossing folder. This is one of my all time favorite embossing folders. I mounted the panel onto a Daffodil Delight card base. the Tropical Oasis dsp with the hibiscus and plumeria flowers was perfect and the right color for the bird. I added a strip of the designer series paper across the card front just slightly lower than center. Using a Stitched Rectangle die I cut out a white panel and then stamped the leaves from the stamp set using Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. I masked the one flower so the other one would appear to be in the background. This panel was added to the left hand side of the card front using dimensionals and centering top to bottom. The flamingo was stamped and cut out then added to the leaf panel using dimensionals also. Here is the completed #ShopYourCraftStash Pop of Paradise creation.

The Tropical Oasis designer series paper is fun to use. Look at this idea that uses it with the Tropical Chic stamps. I also used this paper with another retired stamp set with a hibiscus. This idea uses the tropical leaves from the Tropical Chic stamp set.
