#ShopYourCraftStash Falling Flowers

Hello Stampers ~ time for another #ShopYourCraftStash Falling Flowers idea!

Well I was a busy bee yesterday!  I got my cards made for my new online class, worked on the page with all the details, made my card for today, and worked on my newsletter.  I was excited to get all that done.  Today I want to make my cards and videos for next week and work on getting my classroom set up for the online class.  I have to start getting videos off my phone as I am running out of storage space!  I also need to get to the store sometime as I need creamer ~ can’t go without my tea in the morning!  There are a few other things I need also.  Hopefully it won’t be too crowded!

For my #ShopYourCraftStash card today I chose to use one of my favorite easy techniques.  I love using the faux watercolor technique to color my cards.  You stamp your image onto watercolor paper using any of our dye inks.  Then using an aqua painter you color over the image.  The water causes the ink to bleed and blend coloring the image.  Let the image dry and then stamp it again to make the outline show up.  This is a great technique for a stamping tool.  Then you use your dies to cut out the image.  This technique is perfect for line images so the color will bleed.  I used some other images in the Falling Flowers bundle to add the swirl behind the panel at the top and some flower down in the corner.  My sentiment is from Timeless Tulips and I fussy cut around the word.  May have been better to stamp it and punch it out with a circle punch.  I added the leaves to the back of the flower using glue dots.  The flower was then added to the card base using dimensionals.  Here is the completed #ShopYourCraftStash Falling Flowers creation.

Here is the same technique used on a larger image so size does not matter.  This card uses the same idea for the butterflies to bleed the ink.  I obviously like this technique with this stamp set as I used the same image for the technique on this card.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  It is supposed to be nice this weekend so maybe on Sunday I will power wash my porch so I can sit outside when the weather is nice.  I also need to work on my paper masks some more so I can get those cards mailed out!  Have a Super Saturday and have you tried the faux watercolor technique like I used on the #ShopYourCraftStash Falling Flowers creation?

    • I was just playing with this stamp set and felt it needed something. Amazing how things happen when you just play! Thanks!
