Hello Everyone ~ I am back again with some more Stampin’ Up Simply Citrus Alternatives.
This kit is so much fun to play with. I love all the pieces and how you can use them to create other cards. I used the bright colors in this kit to make 4 alternative ideas. I love the sentiments in the stamp set as they are appropriate for a variety of occasions.
The original Just Jade card in the kit is a simple card with a printed panel. Here is what it looks like.
So I decided to take and cut the card apart and use the front panel to make this card. I also took the printed panel and folded it in half. I added a folded strip at the top and made a shaped note card. I added it to the card front and used a circle with a sentiment to help hold the panel closed. This was layered onto a White and the Just Jade card background then added to a White card base. Here is the first alternative I came up with.
For the second alternative card I took the printed panel and cut it in half. Using a White panel, I added half of the printed panel and added it towards the top of the panel. To hide the cut edge, I added a strip of Just Jade and then a small strip of the polka dot that was left when I cut the panel down. I mirrored the same top strip at the bottom but I did switch the order. To finish the card I added the sentiment. Here is the second alternative idea.
This alternative uses the other half of the panel from the above card. I also cut down another card front and used the back of the card in the kit for the solid layer. I added some of my Just Jade cotton ribbon. This is alternative number 3.
Here is the last alternative idea. This one uses the last few strips I had left. I only had the 2 small strips at the bottom left so I added them and then used the flowers to stamp the background. Added some of the Just Jade cotton ribbon and attached it to a White card base. Added the punched sentiment and added some flowers and rhinestones.
Have you ever taken a kit and made the original card and then a bunch of alternatives? I hope I have inspired you with my ideas. Thanks for visiting and have a Marvelous Monday!
