A convention swap

I have so got to get going on my convention swaps. I leave in less than 2 weeks! I have my ideas just need to get them made. After my card today I am going to take the weekend off and get some of them made. If I get some time I will share them.

I saw the sketch challenge at Create with Connie and Mary and I knew I could use it for a redo of a card I made that I was going to use for convention. I stamped the large flower punch with the Fine Flourish using So Saffron ink. I wanted the flower to have some dimension to it. In my original card I had used rhinestone brads. Since I did not have enough for my swap, I punched a 1/4″ circle added a glue dot and then stuck it in Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I did change and use the new Pear Pizzazz for the strip and leaves rather than Wild Wasabi. I stamped the vine from Vintage Vogue on the strip with Versamark. I was not able to preorder the new In Color pads so when I place my order this weekend I will pick up some of them. I did change a few things to make it work for me. Here is the sketch and my creation.

So what do you think of my card? Do you think it will make a good convention swap? Let me know so I can either try something else or get busy. Thanks for looking and have a Fabulous Friday!

  1. I think it will be perfect!

  2. It will be a great convention swap card, Robbie! I wouldn't make it a full card though. Making full cards for convention swaps gets expensive and is not expected.

  6. I agree, that it doesn't need to be a full card…just a card front. I also agree that it's a great/perfect swap/trade. It has all the elements people are looking for: layers, embellishments and incorporating the new colors. Good job!!!!
