Swirly Butterflies

I received an e-mail from a challenge blog I participate in asking me to be their guest designer for an upcoming week. I was so excited and said yes. I spent some time yesterday working on my project to post. It is really a neat idea so look for that post in about a week.

I also needed to make a card for you today. I am not sure how I feel about this one. I liked it at first but now I am not sure so let me know what you think. I used the color challenge from Just Add Ink.

I loved these colors together and I think they make a great card. Maybe it needs more white. I then chose to use the sketch challenge at Pals Paper Arts .

I pulled out my butterfly die that I hadn’t used in a while. I stamped the large swirl from Priceless and cut out the butterflies as I felt the plain butterflies needed something. After I cut them out I used my white and clear glitter gel pens to trace the swirls on the butterflies to add a little interest. Here is my creation.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card. I will be working on some cards to post later this week as well as preparing for the graduate course I am teaching. Thanks for looking and have a Super Saturday!
