I am so excited. I do have a card to share so if you don’t want to read my good news, then skip down.
I have been trying for about a year to be chosen to be on Design Team. It is a goal I set for myself as I knew it would help me improve my skills. I had tried several times but was not chosen. Well my luck changed last night. It was officially announced that I would be 1 of the 6 new design team members for Late Night Stampers. I have been a member of this yahoo group for several months. It is a great group to see lots of ideas for cards and the people are so helpful. Make sure you head over there and join up. I thought I would also share the blogs of the other 4 (1 still has not been able to be reached yet) people who will also join the team for the next 3 months.

Now on to the card. I began with the color challenge at the Color Dare blog. The challenge was to use Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, and Whisper White. I combined it with the new sketch challenge at Stamping 411. I pulled out 2 of my long forgotten stamp sets to use on this card. I used Matchbox Messages to stamp the frame. I colored in the berries with a Ruby Red marker. I then chose the flower circle from the same set and inked it up with Baja Breeze then used a towel to clean off everything but the flowers. Then using the Ruby Red marker I colored the outside circles. I then stamped it and using the marker wrote “Hello”. I pulled out my Priceless set and stamped the flower in Baja Breeze and again in Ruby Red. I also stamped the butterfly in Baja Breeze to cut out. I used my Versamarker to color over the flower and the butterfly and embossed in clear. I then used the large and small swirls to stamp around the edge with Baja Breeze and Ruby Red. It was then just a matter of layering it the images and adding the ribbon. Here is the sketch and my creation.
