Stampin’ Up Sailing Home Masculine
Happy Monday Everyone – if you struggle with cards for guys, wait until you see how easy it is to make this Stampin’ Up Sailing Home Masculine idea!
Do you ever see an idea on line and then wonder how you can create it using what you have? I saw a clean and simple card in a Facebook group and it had a watercolored background with a flower on top. Here is what I created from that inspiration.
I love using the Sailing Home stamp set for masculine cards. It has some great images for men who like the water.
When I looked at the watercolored element it reminded me of a stamp I had so I decided to pull out the Nature’s Harvest for the splotchy stamp.
I knew I could stamp the image and add a sailboat on top and a greeting and my card would be complete! This card is so easy to create here are the details so you can make your own version.
Measurements
Card Base: Night of Navy 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
layer: White 4″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for stamping and die cutting
Let’s Create
- fold and burnish the card base
- using the splotchy stamp from Nature’s Harvest and Balmy Blue ink, stamp the image in the lower left hand corner of the White panel
- immediately stamp the same image slightly above the first stamping
- repeat the above 2 stamping directions slightly lower than the first stamping, see photo above
- stamp the sentiment from Art Gallery using Night of Navy ink
- attach the panel to the card base
- stamp the larger sailboat on the scrap of White using Night of Navy ink
- cut out the sailboat using the coordinating die
- add the sailboat to the card base over top the stamped splotches using dimensionals.
Don’t forget to stamp the inside of the card and envelope with the sailboat.
