Happy Sunday Everyone – I hope my Stampin’ Up Hello Ladybug in Petal Pink card makes you smile!

The Hello Ladybug bundle is so much fun to play with. This card came from an online Convention I took and I love the use of Petal Pink for the wings!

Check out how I used gold embossing for the leaf and on the wings.

I used some masking to stamp the same version of the ladybug on the inside of the card and the envelope. Should have used a new mask for the envelope as the ink bled through on the wings.

Measurements

Card Base:  White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Abstract Beauty gold striped paper:  1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
Black: 1/2″ x 4″ and scrap for punching
White:  scraps for stamping and die cutting

Let’s Make it

  • fold and burnish the card base
  • add the strip of Abstract Beauty pattern paper down the left hand side of the card front
  • tie some Petal Pink ribbon from the 1/8″ cotton ribbon combo pack around the card front on the left hand side
  • emboss the leaf using Versamark and gold embossing powder
  • fussy cut the leaf out and attach to the card front using dimesionals
  • punch the ladybug body from Black card stock
  • stamp the wings using Petal Pink then emboss the dots on using Versamark and gold embossing powder
  • punch the wings out and add to the ladybug body using a dimensional
  • add the ladybug to the leaf using dimensionals – yes I love dimensionals!
  • stamp the sentiment onto the Black strip using Versamark and gold emboss it
  • flag the end of the sentiment using the Banner Pick a Punch
  • add the sentiment strip to the lower portion of the card front using dimensionals
  • sprinkle on some Polished Dots in Petal Pink
