Some more new products
Hello everyone – I have Some more new products that I played with to create today’s card.
Last week I admitted that I am struggling to create and not much is inspiring me right now. Because of that I am taking a break and exploring other avenues and products so you will see me using and mixing different products that you may not recognize. I am still a Stampin’ Up demo so will continue to mix those products in with the new.
During the free class one of the techniques they shared was used to create this card. I had never thought about coloring one corner and then coloring the opposite corner on a panel on the card front. What a great way to add interest! Adding some embossing helps to highlight the coloring. I also used some smooshing of watercolor paper and die cut the flowers. The leaves are actually cut from gold foil but the lighting makes them appear to be black. Here is the card I made during the class.
I am not certain about the embossing folder. Seems too much for me as I like more subtle embossing. I also found the letters for the sentiment too thin to glue down. I may need to play with them more to see if I can work with them.
I liked the inking opposite corners technique and will be using it for other cards. I hope you enjoyed seeing this idea.
